Ok, so I am an 80 year old wuss who needs extra cushion for floor exercises. This definitely provides the cushion and comfort I need, BUT rolled up it is more than twice the size of a traditional exercise mat. I feel like I'm carrying around a sleeping bag! However, given that at my age, image is not important when compared to comfort this works. I doesn't appear to be the best quality, machine cut edges are rough and rather "ragged" so I don't know how well it will hold up. The thickness (this is a trade off for extra cushioning) makes it less stable for standing exercises, but I just step off the mat and onto the floor if it feels too unsteady. Not sure I'd order again, but serves the purpose for now Also, it did come with a carrying strap, but it is WAY too loose! I had to knot the lateral strap and still too loose, so I just carry it under my arm. At least the circular straps keep it from unrolling. ... show more

I've used other yoga mats in the past and compared to the yoga cloud no comparison. If you want a mat that gives you good separation between you and the hard floor then this mat is for you. It is spongy to stand you, so you feel it support

I don’t normally write reviews but this is one of those item where I just HAVE to let people know just how great it is. No sugar coating… I have bad knees. Which caused me to refrain from certain exercises. Searched and searched for a better yoga mat to accommodate and I’m go glad I found this one. This mat has changed my workout routine, my goal achievements and my life!! The price point is a little up there compared to traditional yoga mats but it is worth every penny. Got my Normal routine done and then some with no pain at all. I was working out on a cloud! If you’re on the fence about this purchase, just buy it. You’ll be glad you did!😉 ... show more

Whether or not you enjoy this mat is going to depend a lot on what you're hoping to get out of it. For laying and standing yoga poses this mat is a dream. I feel it helps me better understand where I'm putting my weight, which leads to better overall alignment (ex: Pressing too much on back of wrists rather than throughout the hand). For standing poses it's also very comfortable, but harder to balance on. For me, this is nice when in simple standing/balancing poses I'm already strong in, but for harder poses that take more balance I actually step off the mat. For this reason I really, really enjoy it for home use, but can't picture taking it to a yoga class. Also because it's so bulky (which can't be a fault if that's why I bought it). Above all, it is firm enough that so far it isn't leaving an indents despite that I'm by no definition a small or light person. Will update if that changes within a few months. However, there is another reason I bought this mat. My apartment is all hardwood floor but I love laying down to read. I bought this in part to just lay on the floor and for that alone its been really great! I do still sometimes use some pillows, but it's really nice to keep from getting too uncomfortable while reading. I was very surprised for how plush it is to stand on, it's much firmer feeling to lay on. I can't picture falling asleep on, but it is nice for reading or meditating or just petting a kitty. Other notes: - Does damage easy (And if you got cats very good luck). I throw a blanket over it to protect it when I leave it out for a while. Even so, it already has a small tear where something must have snagged it. - Very bulky and can be hard to roll up and fit in the holder - Not the most aesthetically pleasing mat in color or texture, but we're not going to be impressing any yuppy yogis with a 1" mat anyway - Edges are cut a little rough (see above) - No noticable smell - Arrived in great condition - Ends actually flattened out from being rolled up faster than I expected ... show more
