I have really liked Cross pens in years past. Seems their quality wasn't as good as in the past and so I hadn't tried them again for a while. I liked the colors on this Wanderlust and so gave it a try. I was surprised that the pen wrote smoothly and was very comfortable in hand - IF!! you prefer a very slim pen. The pen writes consistently on all qualities of paper and is a good workhorse everyday pen. Others have said the finish is delicate, but I don't cap the pen while using it and also keep it in a soft leather sleeve - just in case! The pattern is really very lovely! The pen line varies depending on the ink you are using. I especially like it with Namiki black - the line is fine and yet distinct. Cross has returned with a truly lovely pen! This pen has a beautiful design and a solid weight to it. It was my first cross pen purchase and I've even repurchased to gift to my grandmother. There's nothing better than writing with a pen that has a good weight and ink. I feel so expensive when I write with it!

Beautiful pen, writes well with smooth ink that doesn't blob or get gummy. The only draw back is that it takes two hands to twist the writing tip out. This is not a top click pen but its worth the effort. I love it.

I use ballpoints when I absolutely cannot use a fountain pen or more like when I have to write on cheap paper for example at work sometimes. I have to have an attractive pen especially when I can’t use a fountain pen. People that buy disposable pens just freak me out anymore- I’m like how bad do you despise yourself that you don’t buy a decent refillable pen?! Seriously- I need to know and I also need to know what caused such self loathing? But I digress... the point is this pen is attractive, good quality and uses cross cartridges. I like to smile when I write and a plastic BIC just doesn’t do that for me- I’m not 5 anymore....
