I have really liked Cross pens in years past. Seems their quality wasn't as good as in the past and so I hadn't tried them again for a while. I liked the colors on this Wanderlust and so gave it a try. I was surprised that the pen wrote smoothly and was very comfortable in hand - IF!! you prefer a very slim pen. The pen writes consistently on all qualities of paper and is a good workhorse everyday pen. Others have said the finish is delicate, but I don't cap the pen while using it and also keep it in a soft leather sleeve - just in case! The pattern is really very lovely! The pen line varies depending on the ink you are using. I especially like it with Namiki black - the line is fine and yet distinct. Cross has returned with a truly lovely pen! Beautiful pen, writes well with smooth ink that doesn't blob or get gummy. The only draw back is that it takes two hands to twist the writing tip out. This is not a top click pen but its worth the effort. I love it.

This is my third fountain pen and I enjoy using it. The pen is very attractive and when I use it people notice and make comments. I have relatively large hands and find that this pen is very comfortable to use and well balanced. Like all of my fountain pens, I use it un-posted I do not expect to have any issues with the beauty of the pen becoming scratched. Because I like to write in different colors, I use converters rather than cartridges so that I have access to different colors. So far I only use one color per pen to keep the pen "pure". The only reason that I did not give this 5 stars is that the converter does not seem to work particularly well. In all of my other pens, the converter fully fills but in this pen the converter will only fill half way. I have taken it apart and re-seated it several times but it still only half fills. ... show more

I use ballpoints when I absolutely cannot use a fountain pen or more like when I have to write on cheap paper for example at work sometimes. I have to have an attractive pen especially when I can’t use a fountain pen. People that buy disposable pens just freak me out anymore- I’m like how bad do you despise yourself that you don’t buy a decent refillable pen?! Seriously- I need to know and I also need to know what caused such self loathing? But I digress... the point is this pen is attractive, good quality and uses cross cartridges. I like to smile when I write and a plastic BIC just doesn’t do that for me- I’m not 5 anymore.... I’m not asking you to spend $200 (Baby steps first) - this is what $55 - you’ll thank me later. ... show more
