I try and accumulate a lot of pens, and these here are the most reliable and the most high-value that I've found. They work the first time every time, they endure any kind of storage condition, and they lay down ink evenly enough for quality drawing. The ink will smear in some situations, but the original writing has always remained perfectly legible. It's hard to do better for quality vs value. I’ve used BIC stick pens for years as they were longer lasting than click pens. Not sure how these will last as the length is so much shorter than they once were. They needed some encouragement in order to get the ink to flow, but were otherwise o.k. after making some scribbles on scrap paper. I paid for this product with my own money and I am giving my honest opinion about the product and the retailer. I really like Bic pens. I have been using BIc pens for a very long time. I like the the point on these pens. They give a dark line, and the round smooth barrel is comfortable to grip for long periods of time. I have developed a large dislike for gel pens. All the gel pens I have tried show though paper, and the ink takes much longer to dry, and for me at least, the ink has a tendency to smear. The ink in these pens flow nicely, the writing is smooth without catching on different types of paper, and I haven't had any trouble with skipping. But I keep my pens tip down in a jelly jar, LOL. Mason jars are too tall and wide for my desk. I have a small jelly jar that I washed out and it holds just the right number of pens and pencils. That way I don't have to worry about any type of ink skipping, and have to shake the ink down to get it to write reliably. These are long lasting pens. These pens last me three or four times longer than the gel pens. They don't leak, and the writing is dependable. The price is reasonable, and they come in several colors. So I'm giving 5 stars for; Function, value for money, nice width on the lines, black black ink, the comfort of the barrel when gripping, the length of time it can be used before it runs out of ink. ... show more
