    • Sketch/coloring Set
I will start this review with the one thing that I absolutely cannot stand: The coloring book! I LOVE the images that it has, truly. However! The size of it is ridiculous! It is SO tiny! Unless you are one of those people that keep your pencils pointy sharp, you will have a hard time coloring in it. I did one of the easier pictures within the book and I had to sit hunched over it so that I could see exactly where I was coloring. I hope in the future, they offer a bigger coloring books to go with this set. This is the only reason they are not getting a full 5-stars from me. Now about the rest of the set! The case is great, well made. It does have a little hand strap that you can bring out of the case for easier carrying but works well with just being held. There are quite a variety of colors to choose from and different types of pencils to use. For the coloring page I mention earlier, I used the regular colored pencils. The colors are vibrant and glide effortlessly across the page. I love everything about this set and I can tell you that my mother was so jealous that she is demanding one for her birthday! This is a great set either for beginners or for someone that does a lot of traveling and doesn't want to take big kits with them. The price is great as well.     • Versatile set of pencils
The drawing set is neatly arranged in a sturdy zippered case with all the pencils secured by elastic straps. The set isn't the highest quality, but makes up for it in variety. It includes 21 colored pencils, 12 multicolored pencils (mixed color leads), 15 "regular" pencils of different hardness, 12 watercolor pencils, 12 metallic pencils two charcoal pencils and a single white charcoal pencil. The pencils are the main focus of the set, but it also includes a basic drawing tutorial, a somewhat small coloring book with a variety of detailed designs, mostly circular and a 50 page sketchbook (mostly white pages, but a few tan and black pages). I tested a number of the pencils and they all worked decently. Again, they're not fine art pencils, but perfectly suitable for beginners of doodling around. ... show more

This kit has a large variety of pencils for drawing. My grandson loves to draw so I am hoping this will keep him busy while at my house. There are lots of different colored pencils to choose from and the lead/charcoal pencils come in several different thicknesses. The coloring books are not so appealing. They are pre small for a young boy and I feel he would get frustrated. We’ll see, as I will be seeing him this week. The carrying case is nice with a sturdy zipper. This kit has a lot of items included for sketching, drawing and coloring. The price is WOW, also! To buy everything separately, would definitely be a lot more expensive. The kit comes in a nice case that is zippered up to keep everything together and not loose something if you drop it. There are all kinds of different pencils included for drawing and for coloring. It also comes with a sketch book, coloring book and then instructions to get you drawing. I would definitely recommend this item and I think it would make a great gift for someone who draws and colors. ... show more

    • Opens up a new artistic outlet
My main media as a hobby artist is watercolor painting. Of course, there's some element of sketching what I'm going to paint, but I don't consider pencil drawing something I've very good at. I want to be. Since opening this great set of all types of pencils, I've been on YouTube watching instructional videos on how to develop this new craft of using charcoal and colored pencils. Exploring all the different types of pencils this kit offers has truly inspired me. Besides a large selection of graphite sketching pencils, there are watercolor, oil and metalic pencils of many colors. And on top of that, there are these Rainbow colored pencils that have multiple colors in one pencil. Amazing. I can't wait to play. This would make a great gift for someone with experience drawing with pencils or, like me, someone who is new to the medium but who wants to develop skills with pencil art. Great find!     • Not professional quality, but very good value for money
Most kits you can buy have cheap, hard colored pencils that don't draw well, and while these are not on the level of those name brand professional colored pencils, they are very nice. Definitely value for money here. This kit was purchased as entertainment for the summer and has been very well received. It packs up easily and you can quickly find whatever color you are looking for. The sketchbook and coloring book are nice additions (again-not the highest quality, but acceptable for the novice/hobbyist) that pack up easily, too. Great for trip and travel. My favorite items are definitely the rainbow colored pencils. They just add a fun touch to whatever you are working on. The drawing tutorial book is not the best, but it does not take away from the overall value of the kit. ... show more
