I collect fountain pens, specifically vintage flex fountain pens. I do have a good number of modern toss around fountain pens that I buy for when I'm out and about and I don't want to lend someone my Eversharp Gold Seal or Mabie Todd Swan etc. That is what I bought this pen for. However, I have to say this pen has surprised me! It's not a vintage flex, but it's also not a Jinhao, Wing Sung, PenBBS etc. The pen feels a lot more luxurious than I expected and the nib is incredibly smooth! It's not a soft nib, but it just glides across the page beautifully! It looks like a classic and I feel I would have no qualms about bringing it out in a business setting. The fit and finish are remarkable for the price range. In short, If you're looking for a pen that writes consistently and smoothly with no skipps or hard starts with very little feedback and no drag, and that looks like a professional fountain pen, this beats pretty much any other pen I've seen in this price range or even the under $100 price range! Obviously, It would be nicer in the metal barrel version, but honestly, this isn't bad. It has found its way into my small group of daily carrys. Pros: - Name many recognize - Nib is Smooth as Glass! - Nice fit and finish - Classic/professional look and design - PRICE! I have many pens. I prefer the plastic/resin to the heavier brass. Love the blue color of this pen. Handles well. Writes well. Cross is an inexpensive yet long established name in pens. The standard graduation gift has always been a set of cross pens.

I received my cross pen Bailey today. The pen is very nice and as described. I requested the fine nib but I think they sent me a medium nib because it writes thickly but very smoothly, no complaints on the writing ability. The only other concern is I received only one ink cartridge and the description states that two are included. The pen was packaged nicely in a black cardboard type box with a plastic tray inside that holds the pen. So far just doodling and testing the writing, the pen has not skipped, or torn paper. The color of the pen is coral and is a nice shade. The pen cap posts easily on the end of the pen if you like that and also the cap clicks nicely when pushing in place to cover the nib. Nice and secure. Would have given 5 stars if I had received the second cartridge and the correct nib ... show more

I am very pleased with this pen. It is a lovely jade color with gold accents. It is a very smooth writing pen with a fine point. I love pens. This one is a lightweight resin pen and even though I enjoy heavy weight pens, I do like one a lot.

I would like to make a review, but the pen arrived w/O ink cartridge. I will advise further once the ink I had to order arrives. The weight minus cartridge is very light. The design is superb yet simple. I will not award stars until the cartridges arrive; therefore, stars are pending.

The pen works great, just as I had hoped. But the product as a whole as advertised on this page has one fatal flaw: The description of this pen says (or at least strongly implies) that it also comes with an "optional" Cross converter #8756 (for use with bottled ink instead of ink cartridges). The item arrived promptly and otherwise as described, but no converter. To make matters worse, that converter is out of stock on Amazon and just about everywhere (including Cross itself). I bought the pen to use with the converter and a bottle of ink (not to be reliant on buying overpriced cartridges), so this defeats the whole purpose of my purchase. ... show more
