There is a reason you buy Gelly Roll pens. They are vibrant. The ink lays down easily and is highly pigmented so you don’t need to lay down multiple layers to get coverage. Vibrant colors on dark and light color paper. Purchased the Moonlight 16-pk set to use specifically with my Cricut on dark 12x12 cover stock. It goes on super smooth and bright and my only nit is that it does smear if you do not give it enough time to dry. My only other minor complaint is that the 16 pack came with only 8 unique colors with 8 of the 16 being duplicates. Not a big deal. Definitely a new fan of this pen brand. ... show more

Definitely will be a repeat customer when it comes to these pens. I love the gel ink and how smoothly they write. They also last surprisingly long compared to others and take very little time to dry so your not waiting around to start the next steps.

Sakura gelly roll pens are among the best on the market. When it comes to black paper, Sakura moonlight gelly roll pens are the brightest ones out there, second to none. The colors are breathtaking and there is a nice selection of colors, though I wish there were more greens, blues and purples. I have had some luck creating my own colors by adding a coat of a second color before the first coat has dried. The nice thing about this particular product is that it contains duplicates of the more popular bold tip colors, such as green and blue. When I tried to buy green and blue separately, I could only find them in the fine point, which wasn't what I needed at the time, although the fine points are very nice, no doubt about it. This way I don't have to keep buying the ten pen collection, which in the past has left me with far more yellows than I'll ever use. Some care must be taken not to smear them as the pigment is thick but they dry fairly quickly. I've had more problem with smearing from pens of lesser quality in which several coats must be applied in order to obtain full coverage of black paper. With the gelly roll pens, one coat does it when the pens are still mostly full though it might take a second coat as the ink begins to lower in the barrel. For well over 20 years I have been completely devoted this Acura and jelly roll and I cannot tell you how excited I was to learn all the new colors for moonlight 10. Now that I am caught up, leave me, I have them all and even managed to find the newest line: UV and I can’t wait to tell you about them however I did not purchase those from Amazon.
