There was nothing to dislike about this book. It was well-written and great for those new to the faith, those investigating the faith, and even a blessing to life-long believers. We did a small group study of this book at church. It was very interesting and led to some good discussions on the foundation of beliefs.

    • Escellent basis for small group study
Mr Hamilton continues to produce well researched and informative books that are excellent bases for small group studies. The course is set up as a 4-week study but I found that the active discussions in my Sunday school class inspired by the book have stretched this to at least 8 weeks (maybe more, still in process). Through these discussions class members who come from a variety of religious backgrounds have been able to re-evaluate why they still believe what they were taught at youngsters. this has resulted in them having a better foundation for their primary Christian beliefs. My only qualm about the book is really with the associated instructors guide where I found many of the recommended discussion questions a bit shallow. ... show more

    • Great individual or group study on the Apostle's Creed
Adam Hamilton is an excellent author who presents doctrines and concepts of Christianity in ways that are relevant today. It is my opinion that the examples he provides of Christian living are useful in discerning my choices to live a Christian life today.

    • Good study, but really needs to take more than six weeks
This is a really good study series. The book and the DVD raised good, useful questions in the group meetings, and made my 10-week sermon series on the Apostles' Creed more meaningful and enjoyable for the congregation. You really need all three: the book, the DVD, and the leader's guide. I skipped a large part of the guide suggestions, partly because they would have lengthened the sessions to several hours.
