  • Great night vision and overall performance
Style: Standard Color: Black
The media could not be loaded. I normally don’t write reviews but this one is too cool not too! These night vision binoculars have great range and different IR settings to see it all types of weather and places. We live on a “use to be farmed” house with a great view of couple acres of land. We see and hear different types of wildlife so thought it would be fun to see these guys at night. These things will pick up a glare in an animals eye from far distance. These are not just great at night but also during the day! In the video I took I had just had them for a day with it bring first time I okayed with them. It was pitch black, recording with my cell phone in one hand and lifting the night vision binoculars with the other. Look how dark it y it s abs then I lift up binoculars and it’s right there in your face. My neighbors house which is about a mile away and I just started using them 15 mins earlier for first time! These are fantastic for the price! I’ve been looking over a year for the right ones, great quality and great price range. Under $200 worth it all day long! ... show more

  • Pretty Good for the price.
Style: Standard Color: Black
CREATIVE XP Night Vision Goggles - review I like them so far, had them over two months now. These are not night vision goggles - you cannot walk around using them in the dark, they have too arrow a FOV. They are more for scanning a field, or spotting wildlife in the dark; use them like night binoculars. Screen is a little low res, but can't complain for the price. Really decent reach with the infrared night vision, even on the low power settings. Build quality seems good so far, nice solid feel for the price. My two major gripes with these are that; - the screen is waaayy too bright to be used for effective night viewing. Looking into it effectivly blows your eye's dark adaptive night vision, making you have to wait to get your vision back once you look away. Also, you can't be stealthy if using these at night, since that very bright screen floodlights your face, making you visible a mile away to anyone or anything around while using it. You could turn the thing around and use it like a flashlight if you wanted to.... Some sort of screen brightness control would be a nice feature to add; for dimming the screen. - You have to hold it away from your face to view it, like a foot or more. I had expected to be able to hold it right up to my eyes instead of having to almost arms length it like when using a cell phone....which again, makes it not very stealthy at night because all that light glare from that screen just spills out, brightly illuminating your head like a beacon. In the end, I rigged an adaptor to hold a darkening filter and perscription lenses inside the viewing hood, to allow me to hold it up to my face and quench some of that intense glaring light power coming out of that screen. Now I'm really happy with it. Battery life is a little erratic, but seems decent. I use rechargable NiMH Energizers. The instructions are conflicted about whether or not you should use them, but they seem to work fine. Overall, I was surprised to find night vision devices becoming this affordable, and was afraid I might be dissappointed, but I'm not. These are pretty good so far. ... show more

  • Best deal for the dollar
Style: Standard Color: Black
Advertised 1,000 yards; more like 700 functional, enough for me Definitely needs ability to ACCESS external power o AA battery CONTACTS were temperamental; inserted correct, just capricious o Needs an external POWER PORT o Needs external power cable with an integral 9V regulator; for a portable 12V source Suggestion: Carry a tactical RED lens flashlight (or regular), to verify pad buttons in blackout. I've used military NVGs (NODs), Starlight scopes, etc, [personal SFODA ugly combat experiences], so my view is fair. IR image definition is remarkable with fine details within 100 yards and IR set on level 7. Clarity at 40 yards is astounding. I'm impressed with this company's keen technology. Target clarity, if compared to a daylight rifle scope is about the same "dead-center TEN-ring". We have livestock and open fields around the ranch house, so we have threats from introduced Canadian wolves in Montana (government idiots). I bought this device for night-ops and this is the BEST I've found. Using this NOD with a tripod lets me fire a shotgun that puts things on the run. Beyond 400 yards pixel clarity gets dicey, still OK, but definition drops, and at 900+ yards certain identification gets iffy. ... show more

  • OK for the price
Style: Standard Color: Black
It works OK at shorter distances...less than 50 yds. The IR sources seems OK but the screen resolution wasn't great. It was very sensitive to any small branches, leaves, or anything in the line of sight. The screen is very bright, so the reflection off your face will be visible to others. The bright screen may "bleach" your vision for a minute, so you'll need to "dark adapt" to get your vision back. If you're hunting, you may want to close your "shooting" eye while using this, to avoid that problem. It's not a binocular...one tube is the IR source. For the price, it's OK to play around with. ... show more
