You need to flash the main board of the printers firmware, instructions are clear, you may also need to flash the firmware of this device, youtube videos can help. Once all was done works like it's supose to, I bought this for upgrading an ender 3 pro, wanted to match the ender 3v2 I have so it's easier to run both. ... show more

    • Instructions stink and now printer is messed up
Got the new screen today and followed the instructions line by line. I verified what Ender 3 Pro board I had and downloaded the Ender 3 V2 firmware like it said, except the link provided on the instructions doesn't work. Now, my Ender 3 Pro will not boot up properly and this screen or my original screen does nothing. I even tried to flash the boards firmware back to the Ender 3 Pro and it does nothing. When you download firmware, it is way too hard to know which one you really need since 5 or so firmwares come in the zip file. This is really upsetting and now my 3D printer is useless since I can not get it to boot up and all I see is a blue screen. This really is horrible and I think this company should just make a screen compatible with 3D pro instead of making you TRY to upgrade to 3 V2. Also, reading online, this actually will limit other things if you want to upgrade even more. ... show more

I got this to upgrade an Ender 3 Pro, hoping that it was the DWIN display. (There are certain advantages to that type.) It works fine, it just limits the options for firmware upgrades. It is still better that the monochrome blue panel that came with the E3Pro.

    • Firmware Issues
I bought this for my fiance, who has an Ender 3 w Raspberry Pi. We followed the instructions regarding firmware to the letter and watched a YouTube video on how to connect this and still couldn’t get it to work. Every time we connected it, it also made a loud, constant whine. Not sure where I went wrong with this but just ended up spending the extra money on a new 32 bit control board and Geekpi touchscreen/fan combo. ... show more

I aalready did a few up grades to my Ender 3. I upgraded the to silent motherboard 4.2.7. also added a CR touch. It was easy to find the firmware on the creality site for those two. In this case you have to either make your firmware or find someone to code for you. for the printer to detect the new screen. Am not a coder, so am gonna have someone make it. Its not a PNP, cause the screen well just change color if ytou justy plug it in. ... show more
