Great quality considering the price (often well under 10 bucks). Better machining of the head than some hammers that cost twice as much. The handle is very comfortable and does a decent job of absorbing shock. The "overstrike" protection appears to simply be a little bit of thickened plastic, but better than nothing - fiberglass on the inside so overall durability is fine. This was offered at a good price so I bought two. I will probably sell one at a yard sale. I like the heft of it, the length of the handle for swinging and the rubber wrap for gripping.
