This quilt is beautiful! I debated for weeks on getting it and finally decided to take a chance. The upper side is a soft velvety material and the underside is a nice soft cotton. The colors are rich but very earthy. The stitching seems to be very good. It''s more beautiful than the picture depicts it to be. I actually needed a twin size for a twin size bed with a pillow top mattress which they did not have. I decided to order the queen and hope that it would fit the bed, covering it fully as a spread would without a lot of excess material. It fits perfectly. Most of the twin size spreads I saw would have been several inches short for the bed. This could not have turned out better. I find the quilt to be more on the heavier side than the lighter side. That is what I wanted. I guess it could be considered all season, but may be a bit warm in the summer without air conditioning on. I see it being perfect for cooler weather. The tag says it is machine washable and can be dried in the dryer. It appears to be very well made and I think it will last for several years to come. Love it! ... show more

It's very pretty the only thing i don't like are the shams the darker purple color on the Quilt is not even on the shams so to me they don't seem to match well i kept the set because it is hard to find pretty Quilts in the color lilac. all in all it's made very well.

I wanted something that both my husband and I would like. This is perfect, not girly but not deer and fish either. It fits nicely. Nice coverage but yet not dragging the ground. I'm over dust ruffles and you don't need one with this. I like the matching valances too.
