Replaced my old martingale collar which was thinner and had a plastic clip buckle with this one. This collar feels ten times stronger and more secure because it's a slip on. It feels very strong, and well made, but because it's thick, it's a little stiff. It'll probably loosen up after awhile of use. I also wanted a wider collar so there isn't so much pressure when it tightens. Since it's so strong, and a slip on I would take great caution and make sure your dog is always supervised when they have it on because if it gets caught on something I think the only way to break it off is with a knife. ... show more

Great color and slip resistance. Doesn’t stop your dog from pulling but won’t hurt them when they do. It works great and my dogs can’t back out if it. But both of my dogs have got their jaw caught on the loop and needed them cut off. So I ended up buying another one with a clasp

I’ve purchased a variety of different dog collars on Amazon, and most all of the plastic buckles end up breaking within a month or two. This collar completely avoids that problem and actually works better. It provides more comfort for my dogs and looks great on them too. Strongly recommend this collar if your tired of buying collars with plastic buckles or buckles in general! It’s well made and I love it but bought on recommendation of the trainer at BHS training class along with the sensation harness and my dog still pulls. I actually had to use both above simultaneously to control him as we live on a bio-diverse lake with many lizards, water fowl, etc and his prey drive is off the charts. Today I bought the German made Herm Sprenger collar to train him and will rotate my other purchases once he’s truly walking next to me and not pulling like he’s a top dog lead in a Bob sled race, 🤦🏻♀️😂👍 ... show more

Like color, like how it works, problem is the dog hates the thickness of this collar. its a good inch wide but should be three-quarters of an inch. dog tries to get it off all the time.
