I really wasn't sure how sturdy these would be to sit on, but was greatly surprised they will hold an adult. I love that they are crocheted it lends a unique style to the room. I bought two and I use them for ottomans and the grandkids love to sit on them!

This can be sat on fairly comfortably. I felt pretty sturdy on it, but a friend who is lighter than me felt like it was too wobbly for her. The seat is bumpy but not uncomfortable, although with time it might start feeling hard. It is not soft, if is very solid, but not very heavy, easy to carry and move around.
