I ordered the 8 ft round rug to pull our living room together and was not at all disappointed! Our living room is open to the dining and kitchen spaces and is a fairly small footprint itself (something like 13' x 12') and this rug fits very nicely to define the living room vs dining space. It took a couple of weeks for shipping but we knew that ahead of time so not an issue at all. The rug is heavy and well made. We have 4 kids and 3 dogs in our house so it gets a lot of rough traffic and is holding up beautifully. Our 165# English Mastiff spends most of her day lounging on it and will lay sideways and slide her feet/nails across it repeatedly but we've seen no signs of wear or tear even from that yet! The feel of the rug feels comparable to that of a low, dense carpet to me. The jute braided between the cotton rows gives it a nice balance of sturdiness/stability and softness. The thickness is perfect for comfort without being a tripping hazard and the edges have also stayed nicely flat for us. We love all of the variations and bright colors. For cleaning we use our vacuum on the "high carpet" setting so the spinner doesn't catch any of the rug fibers or snag them. It is a bit tricky to scrub or really *clean* if something spills on it because of all the little grooves and ridges between the braids. We just try to avoid foods/drinks on it so we don't have to worry about that. I love that it's reversible and both sides look the same so if you need a clean-looking rug on short notice you can just flip it over. 😄 We did notice that when you first lay it out or if you try to slide it across the floor you'll get sort of bubbles in it but they aren't stretched spots or anything, just step on them and it smooths right back out! It is heavy enough on its own that it stays in place on our wood flooring and we haven't needed any sort of mat underneath it to hold it in place. Put this indoors at back door to help keep from tracking in yard debris like leaves grass etc,my husband walks out to back deck several times a day to smoke and this time of year there is always a few leaves getting crunched on the deck no matter how much I sweep it and cat goes in and out too this little rug is very nice looking, it straightened out very quickly from packing creases and lays nice and flat doesn’t seem to slide around highly recommend does the job and cleans easily ... show more

Love it. Beautifully made. Thinner than I imagined, but actually is better so does not become a trip hazard. Feels good under my feet. Does not have any non slip grip, so, keep that in mind when purchasing. I knew about it and intended to buy that rubber grip stuff but haven't done it yet. It is working just fine. The rug is not in a high traffic area, it is only under my feet when sitting in my recliner. I bought an oval and when I opened it, it was folded in a square. It took a while for me to stretch it out and roll it backwards for a few days to get it mostly flat now. The more it acclimates to the house, the more use, the more flat it will get. Very unique lovely handcrafted rug. Yay, not made in China! Reminds me of all the quilted wool rugs my Grandma made. ... show more

We love this rug! My partner and I are colourful people and we enjoy decorating our home to reflect our personality. This rug had a lot of the warm, rich fuchsia tones we like in our living room in a more natural looking fibre that complements our preferred aesthetic. While the reason for getting the rug was to cover a relatively small water-damaged spot on our wooden floors, after some consideration we opted for the 6' size and I'm glad we did. The rug fills the space well but has a low-profile, and does not interfere with our chairs or furniture. As for the colour, ours is largely very true to the image. However, the braid of jute or sisal-like natural-colour fibre that runs between the rings of colourful braids is darker than the image. In our case it's perfect as it blends well with our stained-oak floors! Think more cardboard-beige colour than the sandy shade it looks like in the item photo. Either way, it is lovely, and the appearance is as promised. The strands are tightly woven together and well-sewn. It appears to be a very quality piece. Though the bargain-hunter in me balked at spending so much for something that just sits on the floor and we are going to step on, it is clear that a LOT of careful work went into this rug, and I feel it is well worth the price. To address something another reviewer mentioned, my cats do love this rug as well! Though ours do less scratching and more lounging. We were worried in getting this item that it would be shredded within a week by our 3 cats, but so far, so good. They give it a scratch every rare now and then but it is holding up just fine to their claws and is not showing any wear or making a mess of shredded fibres. The reason we opted for this style at all was out of concern of the cats - who, out of what I can only imagine to be pure wickedness, enjoy peeing on our plush bathmats - would think a normal rug was like grass and tinkle on it. They have not attempted to do so with this rug, fortunately! All in all I would definitely recommend this product to pet owners. ... show more
