The media could not be loaded. This will be a two-part review, just received this item and I am really looking forward to getting it setup for use. So for the first half of my review, I will talk about this unit before I use it. I was looking for an ice machine that would supplement my refrigerator one. With company my refrigerator won't keep up in the ice department so I picked this unit out. Some features I really liked are that it is pretty compact, makes and holds a decent amount of Ice and does not need to be refilled with water. I checked the electrical rating and it draws 1.2 amps, that is really low so it can be plugged into any outlet without the need for a separate circuit. It does need a water line but it is not too hard to add one, I really did not want to have to monitor refilling. I hope to install this into a cabinet for a nice tucked in look, the handle can be mounted either side so I don't need to worry too much where it is installed based on door swing. For now I don't have the cabinet so it will be freestanding, I checked and the feet are adjustable to prevent any wobble on uneven surfaces. Lastly it arrived undamaged, seemed to be packed pretty good to prevent it from getting beat up. Mine arrived upside down, due to having a compressor I would always recommend letting the unit sit right side up for a day or two before turning on. Once I get it hooked up I will review the second part of operation and performance. 8/15/2022 - update/ so for part two, had this unit for a little over a week now. I had a little issue with the water supply line, this was on my end and had nothing to do with the actual unit itself. As I had mentioned previously I would need to add a water line for this machine, so I tried the clamp on style connector which lasted about a week and then it decided it was just going to leak all the time. I replaced with and would recommend grabbing the SharkBite style which also has a shut off, it is a little more effort but way more worry free. So back to the ice machine, it is really quiet, I could barely hear the unit over my dehumidifier. This would be perfect under a cabinet in the kitchen or bar as you would not hear the unit running. It did as stated make a bucket of ice in 24hrs, I would say it took about 30 hrs for the ice to build up high enough to stop the production of ice.     • DO NOT BUY! Product Leaks. Horrible Customer Service
I purchased this product in Fall of 2022. If you don't move the ice around or shake the tray every day, the ice freezes in a big block. Then you have to dump it out and start fresh. After about 5-months, the ice maker stopped working. It took me weeks to get a response from Customer Service. Once I did, they sent me a new ice maker without notifying me, but still, sent a new one. The new one ended up having a faulty waterline that leaked under my wood floors and caused about $1000 worth of damage. I communicated this with the 3rd party customer service agent that would respond to my emails at random and never provide a phone number. After numerous emails and after providing a video of the damage and acknowledging the damage to our wood floors was there, the agent refunded the amount I paid for the ice maker. I asked to submit a quote for the damage to the wood floor and the agent acted as though he had authority to continue with that level of discussion with me. He went back and forth with me for 2-weeks via email arguing the quote/estimate I had received from a professional were ridiculous and he then, in return provided me his non-professional, off-the-wall estimate of about $100 he felt it would take to repair water damage to my wood floors. I offered for him to pick a company to come provide a quote and he ignored my request. Finally said he had no authority to make these kinds of decisions. I then asked for contact information of the person that had the authority and he responded that he couldn't provide that, no one else could and the company could no longer help me for the damage their product created to my home. I will never purchase a Cotlin product again. The manufacturer is less than poor and the customer service is horrific. Where is management in this scenario? ... show more

We use this machine a lot and everyone loves it. It recently stopped working and we had purchased the extended warranty. Customer service has been very responsive to our inquires and very helpful.

The media could not be loaded. I have bought this ice maker, the COTLIN Model IMC22 Compact Crescent Ice Maker, twice in the last year. (Shame on me for repeatign a mistake!) Both times it stopped working in less than a year. The first one leaked freon after exactly 366 days. I liked how it worked and I need a machine that doesn't require a floor drain. The second one I bought in August 2023. In June 2024, the icemaker stopped making ice. Refridgeration still worked. So I reached out to COTLIN service for help. There's no phone number, of course, just an email address. COTLIN respnded, asking for photos and video. I immedately responded with the photos and video you see here. Then COTLIN went dark. No response to my follow up emails. Nothing. I guess they got my money and that's all they care about. The company is outside the US so I can't do anything about it. But maybe I can save you the $900 one of these costs just to have it work for 6-9 months! ... show more
