This down comforter is very nice and also very warm. I am a cold sleeper and had to take the blanket off the bed because it was too warm with both. I love that it comes with 4 sewn in places to attach the duvet cover to it and the filling is boxed so it stays consistently fluffy throughout. My only wish is that I had purchased the oversized king size. The regular king size fits well but a few extra inches would have been nice. Great buy! ... show more

I wanted an all season comforter that wouldn’t get obnoxiously hot. I shoved a king into a queen duvet cover for fluffy purposes and it’s does really well. I stay warm at night but not hot. I do think they sent me a used blanket though, because it had a spot on it. I washed it regardless so it is what it is, but still. It’s very fluffy, the fabric seems sturdy, and it’s easy to adjust the down in each pocket. I love the soft cloud feeling. ... show more

The cotton material is not heavy duty but it's going to keep me toasty this winter. I searched long and hard, high & low, on many different sites. I had a limited budget, but my RV has no heat & after an injury that's kept me from working, early SS says I can't work yet. I needed something to keep my dogs & i from freezing. The price for what I got was a gogodsend. Its gonna be zero tonite so arrived just in time. I am exceptionally pleased. I have had down alternative comforters in the past, but they just werent as warm. This down is certified responsibly harvested so its even more of a bargain. First off, the package came several days earlier than it was expected; while this was exciting at first it has certainly made me wonder since. Secondly, the box had a "burnt rubber" smell to it. Opening the box only made the smell worse as I came to find the comforter vacuum sealed. It looked a bit strange but I thought maybe it was just because it'd been in an air tight packaging for a while. I took it out only for it to just flopped open like a wet rag as it tried desperately to rise. It didn't do much after I gave it some time and remained a sad looking. . . wet . . . thing. (??? Don't know how else to describe the sound or look of it unfolding from the packaging in such a sad way.) The color then became quite apparent that it was a strange "old book page" yellow instead of the white I was expecting. I was further surprised to find there were no identifying branding on the comforter or inside the box, there were also no care instructions provided, even on the products tag, just the typical warning to not remove unless the owner of said product. Washing the comforter, on cold and gentle setting, did not get rid of the smell. It took several turn overs in and out of the dryer for it to feel even remotely close to something damp. That 'burning tire' perfume wasn't going to go away regardless of baking soda dustings or long gentle cycles through the wash. After less than 24hrs of having this comforter in my possession, and trying to somehow give an inanimate object the benefit of the doubt, there was no salvaging the situation and so it HAD to be returned ASAP. For a pricy product with rave reviews I was incredibly surprised and hugely disappointed that I received such a poor quality item. It did not live up to the "pictures" depicting the item or the high expectations I had. Edit: I was originally going to wait to open the package until I had moved into my new apartment, but I'm really glad that I didn't wait, I was too anxious to have a nice duvet insert for once. Got my hopes too high but learned to be more thorough when investigating Amazon buys. I also ordered it as a "new" all season weight and I believe I was sent the light weight in a king size instead. The more I look back on the experience it makes me wonder if I didn't receive someone else's reject/return. ... show more
