We bought these four months ago. One set. I wanted a second set, but waited to see how they would wear. After three months, a split opened up on one of the chairs. A month later, there’s now a gaping hole. I will write to see about replacement of that piece, but overall the quality doesn’t seem like it’s worth the money. I've had these about a month now and I'm happy with the sturdiness and overall look. They seem to be good quality for a great price. My two young children have no problem getting on and off, and they've never tipped or leaned over. They're also easy to wipe clean and are comfortable. I'd buy again.

I bought 2 sets of these counter height stools (4 in total) to be part of our recent kitchen reno. We've had them for 3 weeks now and I think they look great. The modern design and teal coloring is a great compliment to the rest of the kitchen. They are reasonably comfortable for their style, and feel sturdy enough. I also felt the price of less than $300 for 4 stools was great value. Now for the bad... assembly. Putting them together should have taken 5 minutes per stool. They come in 2 parts. The legs / base and the upper seat. The 2 parts are attached with 4 threaded bolts (provided). 2 of the 4 chairs were a breeze. It literally took longer to unbox them than put them together. The other 2, not so much. The underside of the seats that attach to the legs were so uneven, that 2 of the 4 bolts were not long enough to screw in. I thought no problem, I'll go to the hardware store in the morning and just get some longer bolts of the same diameter. Did so, only to find the threads were not standard and so still wouldn't screw in. 2nd trip to the store saw me purchase a wide assortment of bolts, flat washers, lock washers etc just so I wouldn't have to go back a 3rd time. All the chairs are now put together, each attachment done a little differently depending on what was needed (see the last photo). I've given this product 4 out of 5 stars for now, because at the end of the day I like the look. But if assembly is not your thing, stay clear. Also, because of the problems to date I am worried about longevity. I feel even "budget" furniture should last at least a couple years. We'll see. ... show more

my favorite thing about these chairs is the fact that they are so easily cleaned! i’m talking kids nail polish, food of every type, markers, dried play-dough, etc etc. there is definitely a quality control issue as i had the same problem as a few other reviewers where one of the screws would not fit in the chair (i had to get a longer screw) & one of the chairs did not come with a hole on the leg to stick the piece in that prevents scratches on the floor. i ended up just cutting the piece & glueing it onto the chair. another thing to note is the back is very small & the width of the seat itself is short so if you need that support these chairs wouldn’t be very comfortable for you! ... show more

These are great, wonderful price and fast shipping! The color is a perfect camel, they were very easy to assemble and comfortable so far! I’m 5’1” so I also love that it has a foot rest bar across the front, they are comfortable and cushioned on the seat. Ordered 2 to start to make sure I liked them and will order 2 more! When assembling the plastic things for the legs to prevent scratching the floor does need to be hammered for the rubber round peg to go into its hole! ... show more

These island stools are practical for me right now. My 5 year old can get on/off them easily. If they did tip onto him they are light. But he knows not to push back on them because they could tip like any chair/stool. I didn't use the hardware for the bottom because I didn't want to scratch my hardwood floors so I placed felt circles on them instead. They work well and don't look too bad. I was disappointed by the stitching, however. I ordered these quickly so I didn't catch this detail. It annoys me as I prefer a modern/mid century look but that's okay as I had planned to replace them in about 5 years anyway. The seat is comfortable and that's important. The finish came with a weird spot on it (see photo) which I'm hoping isn't going to occur again after being used for awhile. The gray is warm which worked for me as I mix both warm and cool grays throughout my house. They came packaged well. The black finish on the legs is nice and durable so putting your feet on the middle bar isn't going to damage them. For the super picky I included a photo of the bottom fabric coming up the side and the fold of material that looks like what you'd see on a wrapped present.
