  • Fantastic Power supply.
It's quiet, stable, and feature packed. I have also purchased a Cable Mod fully sleeved replacement set of wires. The included set of wires worked fine, but the flat construction made some cable management situations a bit tricky. My only complaint is that if you intend to use Corsair link, there is an annoying LED that flashes Green/Red which wasn't ascetically pleasing in my build so i stopped using it. On that note, the included USB cable takes up a full header on the motherboard, which becomes a problem if you have a lot of devices like i do. I ended up modding the plugs so i could plug in both my H100i and my PSU into the same header so i could plug in my fan controller and Bluetooth card in the only other header on my motherboard. ... show more

  • Very happy with the unit
I bought the 2950x, Corsair 760T chassis, Asus Zenith Extreme, Corsair HX1000I PSU, Thermaltake Floe Riing 360, Corsair LPX 32GB (2x16GB) 3200MHz C16 DDR4 DRAM Memory Kit, Black (CMK32GX4M2B3200C16), SamSung EVO 970 512G NVMe, WD 1TB Blue NVMe, Toshiba HD 6TB x3 from Amazon. The CPU arrived but the chip was loose inside the box. I could not install Windows 10 but was able to install Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. When I ran Chrome or Firefox under , the CPU kept hanging up. I changed to Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 DRAM 2133MHz (PC4 17000) C13 Memory Kit - Black, thinking may be memmory compabibil;ity from what I read on Youtube, web. But the problem still occured, can not install windows, kept on hanging when runing Chrome, FireFox under Ubuntu. Changed to G.SKILL Flare X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) AMD X370 Memory Model F4-3200C14D-16GFX. Same problem occrued. I changed the mem clock to from 1600-3200 for 3200 MHZ and 1600-2133 MHZ for 2133 MHZ and 1600-3200 for G.Skill. Same problem. Can not install Windows 10. hung when ran Chrome under Ubuntu. Hung when ran Geekbench when it run under multi core, single core is ok. I ran mem test and it was ok. Thinking the CPU was damage during ship, I ask for replacement and got one. When i installed in the system ansd ran with G.Skill, It was able to boot windows 10, Ubuntu and no problem. I had to upgrade the BIOS to 1402 for the Asus Zenith to boot with 2950x. Now it works very smoothly. It run fast!!!!, Very happy with the unit. ... show more

  • Corsair makes great power supplys
Bought this fancy HX1000i for a new water cooled PC build I was working on. The "i" designates it can plug into a USB2.0 header and offer power monitoring for hardcore overclocking. The 1000W rating for my 8086k @ 5.2GHZ and RTX2080 graphics card (overclock to be determined) but I don't mind the headroom. Amazon had a great price on it so I went for the 1000W over the 850W version. My previous PC was built with a HX750 that has been supremely reliable for the past 6 years so I have full confidence in the Corsair brand for power supplys. This is a fully modular design which allows you the absolute cleanest install and the most flexabiilty. I suppose my only "complaint" is the included cables, they are nice low-key all black cables but just not exactly what I wanted. They definitely provide plenty of cables, probably more than you will ever need, I just wish they could have included sexier individually sleeved cables at this price. Easily fixed complaint.... just have to spend a little more money of course. Corsair does offer the individually sleeved kits themselves, but I ultimately bought some from CableMod for my build. The power supply is amazing and my complaint about included cable aesthetics is obviously pretty nit-picky, so I would highly recommend Corsair power supplies to anyone shopping for their next build. ... show more

  • Platinum power at an affordable price
I am using this in my gaming/streaming rig and it is amazing! This fan is one of the quietest fans I have ever used. The fan does not even have to spin up to keep the temperature under 40 degrees Celsius. I setup a custom fan curve using the iCue software and set it at 40% fan speed and the temperature stayed near room temperature. With the iCue software and the digital connection for this PSU you can monitor the performance of this power supply and never be unsure as to what exactly is happening with it. The modular connections allow you to just hook up exactly the power plugs you need and reduce clutter and confusion in the case. Overall very pleased with the performance from this powerhouse. ... show more

  • Great PS
Had this thing since 2015, Worked like a dream ever since! Never had an issue! Id buy it again for my new build but it seems to be way way more expensive now then when I bought it! Might just reuse it again for a new build if its compatible an meets my need!

  • No worries with these. Corsair still making some of the best around!
I admit that I've become a Corsair PSU fan since my last one(still using in another build). When it come's to their gold/platinum series just check the many tech site reviews. The worst you'll find is that there are some sweet spots concerning the different wattage options and their optimum usages. For me the 1000-1200's work best. I got this one to re-build an old rig that was only missing a case and psu. The rig I'm using this with for 1080p/3d/120hz gaming: CPU: 2600k OC'd to 4.20ghz RAM: Corsair 1333mhz 16GB MOBO: MSI Z68 GD65 G3 GPU's: 2 Gigabyte G1 970's OC in SLI CASE: Coolermaster HAF X OS: Windows 10 64 bit on Sandisk 120gb ssd Games: 2 500GB Seagate HDD's in raid 0 Things are quiet. Power is as stable and clean as you'd expect. I believe, and thanks to Corsair, that this 1000w and the 1200w(I'm now using in my newer rig w/ 2 1080's) are the reasons I've never experienced 'coil wine' from my GPU's. In fact I have to crank their fans to 80% or higher just to really hear them above the case. They still provide more cables than you're ever likely to ever use but it means you many upgrade options for years to come. They're a little pricey but for me I know I got what I paid for. ... show more
