    • I moved a king size bed for this?

Bought two shades. Moved the king size bed - by myself, husband is broken - to get to the window. Started getting stuff together to hang the shades, had to change plan because they are very wide and did not fit inside the window frame as expected. I thought I'd pull down the first shade just to have a look... and it would not retract. Returning them tomorrow. VERY unhappy. ... show more

I had a rather unique installation as the back wall of my camper trailer is sloped which limited my options for installing shades, as I didn’t want them hanging down over the bed when in the down position. I should start out by saying that the installation hardware that came with the blinds would be excellent for a normal situation, however, I was unable to use them in mine. Definitely not the fault of the manufacturer. Due to the sloped wall, I had to drill mounting holes and screw the top of the blind directly to the wall, which was simply a matter of drilling a couple holes, which I would’ve had to do anyway. As you can see, in the first picture, when the blind is in the open position, it hangs neatly, following the slope of the wall. I accomplished this by adding two standard RV shade clips to the wall, and drilled a small hole in the bottom of the shade on either side Which the clips attach to when int the down position. Without the clips, the blind would’ve hung away from the wall and over my bed. The end result worked out perfectly, and the only reason I didn’t give five stars was that when I first extended the blind, I couldn’t get it to retract as something appeared to be stuck inside the mechanism. After pushing and pulling on the blind a couple times it finally retracted And has worked perfectly ever since. Overall, I’m quite happy with the Joydeco Cellular Blackout shades, especially as the work great in my unique situation. ... show more

This room darkening shade is so innovative. Get a kick on how it extends and contracts like an accordion. Having a Honeycomb style design allows it to block out harmful UV rays, cold air and white noise. It does permit minimal sunlight to shine through. Installation took me less than 10 minutes to complete. Everything needed to properly mount the Joydeco cordless cellular shade on my office window was included. Even the illustrations in the help documentation were easy to follow. Plan on buying a few more for the Master bedroom. This honeycomb window shade does an excellent job in trapping air in its cells. This allows it to reduce outside noise and stop heat from escaping in the winter and gaining entry during the Summer. ... show more

I have been changing out a lot of blinds in my house for shades. I wanted room darkening shades for the office so I ordered these. Installation is easy. Inside mount requires only two screws. Snap it into the bracket and you're done. It took me longer to get out and clean up the tools than it did to install. They work well and darken the room nicely. My only complaint is that the "handle" for lifting is not removable after snapping it on. They have a sticker telling you such, but I found two of the pleats had creases in them and would love to flip the shade around so they can't be seen but then the handle would be backwards.
