    • Great if you read the directions
I had a difficult timer getting this started when I first set it up, but that was my fault because I didn’t fully read the directions because I was too eager to test it. It is quite easy to set up and does a great job keeping my chameleon enclosure at the proper humidity. The enclosure is use is 24x18x36 with a metal mesh top and the majority of the side panels are also metal mesh. Chameleons need humidity and ventilation, which is a tricky line to walk.     • A good product, but needs some re- engineering
A good alternative to purchasing higher-priced foggers tailored specifically to reptiles; however, there are some flaws. The cap at the top of the tank where the hose goes in does not fit properly or stay in. I had to put a couple rubber bands around the inner lip to get it to stay. Otherwise, when you put the hose in, it just falls right off. While I appreciate the troubleshooting advice from the manufacturer, the fact that they are aware of the issue with the position of the float pin or whatever it is called getting stuck or being in a tilted position is frustrating. This causes the fogger to not work and the red light to come on. When the fogger works, the result is great. It puts out variable amounts of fog based on the dial settings. As another purchaser noted, having to remove everything to fill the tank is annoying as it is not a top fill tank which the manufacturer does show accurately in the description how it is filled. It is compatible with a timer, which is how I use it, set to run for 4 hours each morning. I can tell if it worked by the water level the next morning. The need for certain tubing position with no major bends is also aggravating. Its best to have it higher than your enclosure, so the hose can just go straight down with no bends, which is how I am fixing to change mine to as it has not been working consistently either due to the pin issue or hose positioning. Overall, for the price, compared to the other pricier foggers, it is “okay” but I would not purchase again due to inconsistently working or having to troubleshoot or Maguyver it. ... show more

    • Don't throw out if it stops working
This product is amazing, especially for the price. I have had mine for about a year now. YES it does sometimes stop working. The thing is, it usually just needs some deep cleaning or emptying of the tube to work. This is understandable if you have it running all the time for a reptile tank. The position of the tubing is important as well, as it shows in the listing picture. Sometimes the fog has trouble coming out if buildup collects in the device. Just take it apart and scrub with an old toothbrush or something and it'll work fine. Also picking up the tubing and emptying the condensation that collects inside helps too. I've only had to do this a few times in the entire year I have had it but cleaning and maintaining your devices is how you keep them going so long. I find this works much better than my old repti fogger which costed more and was less aesthetically pleasing too. ... show more

    • Does not work: underpowered and shoddy quality
Humidifiers are usually pretty straightforward. I added water, put the tank in the base, and turned the power on. All I got was a red indicator light. The instructions said the floating ring could be out of alignment. I took the tank off and sure enough the plastic piece that keeps the floating ring in place was completely off the pin. I pushed it back on and the fogger turned on. The main problem thought is the fogger is so underpowered the fog can't even make it halfway up the tank tube, let alone through the included extension tube. Zero output even without the extender. Just a complete waste of time and money, and I'm not sure how this is the top rated fogger on Amazon. Their is something rattling around the inside of the base, I'm guessing an insecure piece of the power supply. The instruction booklet is amateurish and written in "English" that is clearly not the writer's first language. Look elsewhere. ... show more

    • Worth every penny
If you need to set your humidity at a certain level this is the humidifier you want, as the tank is big enough to last all day and it will turn on and off automatically with the help of a timer or humidistat/hygrometer.

    • Decent fogger
The fogger is decent. I will say the hose at the top does not stay on well, and the system itself if finicky sometimes. If it gets touched like at all the hose pops off or it meeds to be re-adjusted. Once it gets set up though it has good output and it has a large capacity and is very easy to refill, its also lasted quite a while with heavy use, but I cannot give it 5 stars with how loose the hose assembly fits to it ... show more
