Description

The Cooper Discoverer Rugged Trek All-Season 265/70R16 112T Tire is an all- season pickup truck and SUV tire that looks tough because it is tough. It looks aggressive but it also has nice manners. The Rugged Trek has a unique Rough Terrain pattern, which is trail capable and provides extra grip and confidence when you venture off the highway. It also features Stone Blockades, which are ridges in the tire pattern to help keep pesky stones and rocks out of the tire and on the ground where they belong, helping protect the tire from damage when you’re off the beaten path. Rugged Trek is built to provide enhanced grip on wet roads and features Whisper Grooves Technology that blocks the rush of air through the tire, helping to eliminate noise when on the highway. There are dual sidewall designs so you can pick between the Mountain Pass pattern or Knife-Edge pattern, which gives you double the options for your look. Our aggressive tread blocks are designed for quiet on-road performance and deep treads help grip in sticky mud and sand. While this is a tough-looking tire, it is also engineered for a quiet and comfortable drive.

Great tire for pulling our 17000 pound fifth wheel RV. No problem handling the load. Previous tires separated but these are great. Worried about road noise but they are extremely quiet. Look great. Ride great. Handle great.

  • Actually improved the ride of my 2021 King Ranch, over the factory tires
Size: 275/60R20 115T
Amazed that a tire this aggressive improved the ride quality of my KR this much. Didn't realize how crappy the GY Kevlar tires that came on the truck are, until I strapped these bad boys on. Water-bottles used to vibrate in the cup-holders with the slightest of imperfections in the roads. Small expansion joints would nearly jar you. I was so disappointed in the ride quality of my 70,000 dollar luxury f150. I mean, you'd feel everything. Those tires only had 25k on them, but my wife curbed one and ruined the tire, and so I decided to go with something better looking, and more capable in the snow...never giving consideration to an upgrade in ride quality. Had them to the same 38psi as my stock tires, and the first trip up the road from where I had them mounted, what was instantly obvious was I wasn't feeling all of those little road imperfections any longer! All those annoying little rattles in the interior were gone! I was like, WTF?! Instantly I liked my truck again! I'm just blown away by the fact that I went to a more aggressive tire and got a major ride quality upgrade. I can hear them more, but just barely. Mostly at about 55 to 65 MPH, but it's actually an enjoyable light roar...nothing obnoxious like a mud tire. Gonna stick with these for the life of this truck, so if they are still made when needed, I will likely replace them about 4 more times, as I run trucks until they are no more. Can't attest to the mileage, as I've only put about 15,000 on them so far...we travel the country, a bunch, so it won't take long before I can give an idea as to how they wear. So far, they still look new. ... show more

First of all, I can only rate my purchase experience as I have just had them mounted on my rims but not on my jeep yet. I will update my review of the tire’s performance once I’ve had a chance to use them. So… excellent purchase experience. Bought these because of reputation. Great looking tire! Be aware that tire can be mounted with either side exposed. They are different! One side has a more aggressive side wall. That’s what I did! Next… price! Killer! Were on sale! Won’t quote what I paid because can’t guarantee it will be the same for others but let’s just say… I saved a lot and am very happy. Finally… shipping… they arrived before promised date! Overall experience has been excellent! Will let you know how they perform soon… ... show more

Size: 265/70R17XL 116T
really like these tires, only have about 200 miles on them so no idea on how they will wear, they look great on my chevy, balanced easily, went out in a rain storm and they were as good or better then the factory tires. cant wait for some snow! was really amazed how fast they were shipped....i really like these tires and the seller. Update: i purchased these 12/22 it is now 8/24 the above review was apparently never submitted ,but i do stand by what i said. now a little under 2 years of running them i felt i should update. only put about 6000 miles on them, but the performance in the rain is fantastic, not very much snow over the winter, but we had 10" once and did not even need to pu it in 4x4. i did just to keep the frt.diff. lubed, but it was not needed. absolutely love these tires, may buy another set just to have on hand in case i live longer then i expect..lol rarely leave reviews, but i had to ,probably the best item i ever purchased from amazon. hardly any wear at all,and still very quiet. ... show more

  • Very nice-looking tires and they don't make noise!
Size: 285/45R22 114H
They look great and are nice and quiet! I put them on my 2022 Ram Limited diesel, and they are a very nice ride. I have not taken them on the highway yet, but I will update my review after I get a chance.

  • Traction and Road Noise
Size: 265/70R17XL 116T
I've had these tires installed on my all wheel drive Jeep Commander with a 4" lift for right at 20,000 miles so far. As for traction, I drive 80 miles of interstate, and 20 miles of limestone gravel roads every day. On weekends, I kayak and fish. These tires offer excellent all around traction and stability with very minimal "chunking" from the gravel. Work very well on wet pavement also with very little pull or wandering. Road noise on the interstate/highway is about a 5 out of 10. Part of this may be the all wheel drive, but I do rotate every 6,000 miles, and there is no cupping or abnormal wear to the tires, just the wide tread pattern makes them noticeable if the stereo isn't playing. Although, the road noise is better with these than the BFG KO2's or the Micky's I was running before. At 20,000 miles, and the rock roads I travel, I am estimating I will get about 45,000-55,000 miles out of the tread, that's doing really well for me compared to the last BFG's and Micky's I was running. I'd recommend these tires if you don't mind a little "Highway Hum" in a quiet cabin. ... show more

  • Smooth and Quiet
Size: 35X12.50R17LT 121Q
Maybe it’s just me, but before these I was running a set of Wild peak M/T and even though I enjoyed those ties a lot been waist deep in mud and never got stuck but man were they loud on the road. Night and day difference with these and I’m getting about 6-10 more miles per gallon.
