I am nothing but impressed by this blanket. The quality of the materials is outstanding. The fabric is soft and smooth on the minky side and the back side is silky smooth. I put the cover through the wash first thing and it came out of the dryer looking great, no pilling or shrinking. The construction of this blanket is quality. Inside there are multiple loops to tie the weighted insert to the cover. The ties are sewn well with a reinforced stitch. This blanket does not bunch up inside the cover. It is a nice, uniform feeling as a result. The cover zips closed and is sewn in a way that the zipper and the zipper pull are hidden beneath a fold of fabric. The color is a neutral but trendy charcoal grey that fits my decor wonderfully. The blanket arrives in a very sturdy, attractive box with easy to understand instructions. A lot of thought and care has been put into the design, function and presentation of this blanket. Best of all, it feels glorious to sleep under! I have waited before purchasing doing some reading on the merits of a waited blanket. Reading SO many product reviews. I am a person with tactical/sensory propensities. I have always piled pillows and blankets on while falling asleep never understanding the teasons I felt to do so. To a degree I still don’t. Im not autistic but do have many tendencies. Cover texture: It has a nice, soft, low pile so nothing builds up on it, Soaps/softeners/dirt, affecting the texture. BIG ISSUE for me. The raised dots give a nice sensation when “worked” over. Over all weight: I am 156lbs and 5’4 so bought the 15lbs per the recommendations. I feel that for relaxation and getting my brain to shut off it’s perfect BUT too heavy to actually sleep under. Once relaxed it restricted my movement, felt a little bound. I’m a side sleeper so it does put some pressure on the hip joints. I just fold it down to my knees and its fine but not ideal. It is a nice weight if you are watching a movie or reading a book though. Beads stability: So far I haven’t had a problem with them shifting or loading to one side. I have been to several stores to test multiple weighted blankets. I wanted to try a weighted blanket because of my insomnia and anxiety. I am very picky about comfort/feel of material. I am also a hot sleeper and its very easy for me to sweat..I am known to kick off the covers due to sweating and heat. So with all that I was skeptical about buying any weighted blanket. I've had this blanket a little over 2 weeks and this minky blanket has sold me on weighted blankets. I have slept better than I ever have! The material is cool and comfy and the weight definitely help my heart rate and tense muscles. As for sleep, I have yet to find any blanket that prevents me from sweating..although this blanket is by far cooler, I still kick it off my legs. With the weight, I wake to kick it off so that's the downside. But this would be the case for all weighted blankets. The only other thing I like to "carry" my blanket from room to room, TV room, living, bedtok.. It's a workout with this blanket! Its also great to have while watching a scary movie! This blanket arrives in beautiful packaging, perfect for gift giving. It comes "assembled" (cover already on) with great description cards. I tried this blanket for 3 nights in hopes of it curing my insomnia. Unfortunately, I have a broken lower L5 and this blanket was too much pressure on my bad hips and back. Woke up with a sore lower back and aching hips. I do believe this blanket would help anyone looking for a better nights sleep that does not have lower back/hip problems. ... show more

So I'm pretty new to getting a weighted blanket and I definitely recommend them. It sadly didn't solve all my life problems buy I do sleep better if only by a bit. My biggest concern is sleeping too hot. I keep my house rather cold along with a fan on during sleep. I am happy to say that the weighted blanket did not add much insulation when added directly on top or my comforter. I feel like I should have gotten the smaller size rather then the queen. It is nice that is able to cover my bed but I don't get a very good sense of weight when sleeping with it. I've had to fold it in half and keep both side piled on myself during the night which defeats the point of its size. As for this particular blanket I was rather disappointed in what i recieved. TRUE it is never advertised but I chose this due to one of the top reviews showing a cover. I would have bought perhaps a cheaper one so that I could pick up a cover for it to better keep it clean. The QUALITY seems decent. I dont have glass sand anywhere and my cats havent poked anything major in it by walking on or kneading it. Some pockets seem to have more beads then others and the overall look is far worse then some pictures I've seen of it. The FEEL is pretty abysmal. After trying for a night I had to put in on top of another blanket as I couldn't stand the feeling of either side on my skin during the night. Surprisingly I did register some cool feeling while using the "cold" side. It's mostly a sensation but it is nice that the material doesn't really warm very fast from body heat. Unlike some I dislike the feeling of the bumps and think it hurts the look of the blanket. It came in it's own box almost vacuum sealed. Which just became more stuff to recycle as there is no use for it. However it adds some appeal as a gift option despite the unfortunate company name. I was debating on giving 4 stars as one of my issues was my own misconception. I decided to go lower as it doesn't seem worth the price. I feel like it isn't much different then cheaper weighted blankets. At 100% polyester I don't it does anything special to make it comfortable or "all-season" either. A decent starter blanket amongst the many and hopefully will stand to the test of time. ... show more
