This is a lovely set; the design, style, and color (I selected white) set it apart from the sea of traditional black suitcases. The duffle bag material is quite smooth and it easily slides over the retractable handle. The duffle also has several exterior pockets that make accessing a wallet, chapstick, gum, and/or phone easy. The bottom expands to allow for more room. I flew round trip with Frontier and had no issues with the suitcase as my carryon or the duffle as my personal item. I wasn’t size checked and didn’t have the opportunity to check either item myself, but wouldn’t worry too much about taking either on a future flight. If the duffle is checked by staff in the future, the smooth material will likely help it slide into the sizer thing. The hard shell on the suitcase itself is a little thin, but for someone who only flies three or four times a year, I anticipate this lasting a while but also fully expect it to get dinged up easily. I love that it opens in the center and has a zipper to separate each side. Well worth the $100 or so for the set. ... show more

The white suitcase that I check at the airport comes back a little banged up with dark scrapes and scratches each time (that was the risk, choosing white!), but I am so so so so happy with this purchase!! Sure, the quality isn't top notch. But the quality for the price? This is an INCREDIBLY great deal. AND it's beautiful! This 3-piece set has made travel so much easier. The size of the suitcase gives me the option to check it, or have it count as a carry-on. (The duffle bag can count as a personal item, so I just put my backpack/purse in the duffle bag and just pull everything so I don't have to carry anything at all!) The duffle also has little pockets you can stick your easy-access items (passport for when you go through security) and also has an easy-access zipped up pocket so it's more secure. They really thought of everything. (One downside: I had no idea how popular this color/style was -- I saw two other people with the same luggage on one of my flights!) ... show more
