After installation, went to turn on my PC and...nothing. Thinking it was an issue with the mobo because my PC has been down for a few months (to be fair), I removed and jumped pins 4 and 5 to find...well nothing, no power at all, this thing was dead right out of the box. So far the worst 130 (after tax) I've spent so far; awaiting a replacement that won't arrive until Friday the 18th (for some reason this is gonna take a whole extra day to get here than the first one? Whatever). Really disappointed, and I'm hoping I can turn this one star into at least 4 when the replacement arrives and works the way it's supposed to...otherwise it will stand and I'll just take a refund and buy an EVGA unit (like I probably should have in the first place). Update: got the new unit in two days ahead of the expected arrival date, this is a plus and I'm quite pleased with the speed at which it arrived the second time. Tested the unit before installation this time and the fan fired right up, another great sign. I've installed and had it running my system for about an hour now, so the jury is still out as to how long this will last (especially after reading other reviews that followed my initial assessment) but I will say that so far everything is running just fine. I suppose we'll see in a month whether or not that still holds true...for now I'm quite happy. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Just got done building my first PC and this psu is what I used. The psu is great so far. It came with all needed cabling. Though with my gpu having 3 connections I had to use the splitter connections because it only came with 2 cables. On the manual, it was not advised to do this but I had no choice. Please include another cable for gpu for separate power connections. ... show more

A good PSU with high efficiency ratings. Levels all good so far. My only complaint is the 1999-looking unsleeved cables. As much as PSUs cost these days, it's appalling they cut that corner. Cable management in modern cases being what it is, you don't see them too much, and there is a cheaply sleeved GPU cable for new nVidia cards, but it's the only one; even the CPU cables are plain. ... show more

This PSU was super easy to install. It is fully modular and comes with every cable you'll need. I was able to easily connect all the neccesary cables to the proper slots on the PSU as they are clearly marked and labeled. The cables were braided so I was able to contort them how I wanted without worrying about messing them up badly. Ultimately, I returned my unit as I wanted to go with the same brand I had prior to this one because of how they have the power supply port oriented on it. ... show more

I chose Version 2 because it has more connectors available on the body of the power supply. I also had no compatibility issues with my motherboard, the 4-pin connector that many people complain is not present with the power supply is simply one of the two 8-pin connectors for the CPU that is split. Those who do not have much experience in assembling PCs could be fooled by this. Cooler Master quality has been recognized for many years but problems can also exist for famous brands like Cooler Master. Personally I am very satisfied with this power supply, heavy and well made, silent and well functioning. All the currents supplied on the different power lines are sufficient to power my workstation. Before assembling this power supply make sure that the currents supplied by the individual power lines are not undersized compared to your needs and you will hardly have reliability problems over time. ... show more
