I bought an extra large collar for my golden retriever. He has been wearing it for a month and the collar has been great. My dog plays at the dog park every day and rolls in the dirt and grass and the collar has not broken even when we’ve had to pull on it. I do wish it was a little thicker so that it would be more noticeable on my large dog, but overall the quality has proved to be durable. The collars have been working well. They are very soft leather. My dogs have been known to chew off each other’s collars in minutes but these have stayed on for a couple of weeks now and don’t show any sign of weakening. We have a Australian Shepherd and a border collie and I got them large collars but I probably should have gotten medium. They do look nice and are lined with a soft neoprene padding. If you only have one dog or have older well trained dogs this collar would be fine. But for multiple dogs or younger dogs, I would choose something else. Yes the collar is leather but it is thin and probably won't last long on my younger German Shepherds. If the leather were a little thicker and stiffer I would have given it 4 stars. ... show more

I purchased the large two pack for my boxers and I couldn't be more pleased with the products! The collars are very soft on the inside which I love for the pups and the outside is very pliable and smooth. They seem to be well made and durable, so hopefully they will last quite some time. I purchased a red and black one. The red is not a bright red but rather a darker red which I love as the female is wearing this one. The pups usually give me a hard time when they first start wearing new collars, but with these ones they didn't so I believe they feel comfortable on their necks. I wish they had just been a solid strap of leather, but overall I like the product. It's not a super thick piece of leather, but you can tell it's real and good quality. It has padding and some kind of nylon part on the inside. honestly my dog loves this collar. She snuggles into it and doesn't try to wiggle it off or scratch it off like she usually does. I don't know how durable it will be in the long run or if it will get a weird smell because of the padding, but so far it's working really well and my dog is happy. ... show more

I ordered these collars just because I could get two! My dog has busted EVERY other collar and harness I have put her in. I normally buy the nylon collar and harnesses with the plastic clips. They are very nice, and I have two girls, one weighs 36 lb., and one weighs 42, fits my smaller girl perfect. But the bigger girl I had to put it in the very last hole to fit her. Great for the price but if your dog is a bit larger, it may be too small.
