For large objects these will be okay. (There are two in this box, one is 5" long and the other 10". Both marked in metric and ASE measure). If you need sharp, highly accurate profiles get a "needle gauge. Use care when trying to get a profile as the pins seem a bit brittle in really cold weather. None broke while I was using this.
