No pics... How easy was this to set up and get the App downloaded. This is fun. You can set the lamp to turn on or off any time during the day you need it. My wife has a habit of leaving this lamp on all day... I set it to turn off @9AM... this should be interesting. There are also temperature settings for these features for the intensity and hue of the lamp- from warm to cool. enjoying this way too much for a light bulb. It should also be able to connect to your smart devices on your network.. Have not gotten to that yet. I am ordering the three pack now... Gifting is around the corner and can also use them in other places around the house because they can be allocated a location on the app. which includes prebuilt-in lighting.... It even has one called "Bonfire" that flickers and changes intensity. ... show more

Pros: - Great price for set of 6 - Lights work well with app - Good Wifi connections Cons: - could have more functionality in app - cannot set device actions if device is turned off The bulbs themselves work very well, are versatile, and are very bright in the white mode. Getting six of them for $40 is a fantastic deal! My review is only based on using the AiDot app and not integrations with other home automation systems. One reason I chose these is because I don't use (or want) integration with voice command smart home systems. The Android AiDot app works well, but there are features I would like added. ADDING A BULB: Don't follow the instruction booklet unless you have the QR code for the bulb handy to scan. The When I first tried to connect to a WiFi bulb, the instructions guided me to the scan the QR code. That bulb was already installed and not the QR code was not easy to scan. It turns out you don't need the QR code. You can just scan for nearby devices. After a few seconds, the bulb(s) should be listed. The box of six bulbs provided the QR codes on the instruction sheet and they are on each bulb, but I'm not sure why you need them. Maybe you need them for other Matter apps? AUTOMATION: Once connected the bulbs work as expected and the app controls are easy to understand. Like most home automation apps, it supports scenes and routines. Scenes allow you to set the state of devices and you can select any/all of the devices. There are currently 10 routine types, but I found most of them not what I wanted. Some are related to sleeping/waking and circadian rhythms. A few are based on integration with other devices. Only the "Schedule" and "Sunrise/sunset" routines were useful to me. Something else to note: you cannot set a device state in a scene if it is not on. This is understandable since there is no hub and the smarts are in the bulb itself. Just something to keep in mind. For the holidays I put some of these bulbs in outdoor fixtures that are dusk-to-dawn, so I can't program them during the day unless I cover the sensor. When I first used the AiDot app, groups could only be created within a room. This limited the functionality of the app. It appears the app was just updated (1.28.1) and now a group is not part of a room and you can add any device to a group. You can add devices from different rooms to multiple groups now. Good to see they are already updating the app! Hopefully they will continue to add more features! One feature I would like to see added it to provide a way to sequence colors or scenes and repeat. Overall, the bulbs and app perform very well. For the price, it's an excellent deal! ... show more

I like all the pretty colors. I don't like having to use two apps to control it. The aidot app works fine. Ok my complaint was with a different app that starts with the letter A that Amazon won't let me talk bad about her. She won't group the lights together but the aidot app does both individual and group. But it's not an aidot voice controlled device running my so-called smart home. ... show more

I've been a smart home/smart lighting user for the past 5+ years now, and I've tried everything from Philips Hue bulbs to NanoLeaf and many other suppliers, and these have to be hands down the easiest and most budget friendly lights I've used in all that time. Pros: The price. These are insanely reasonably priced and I'm so happy with that! Seriously, you get 6 bulbs for a very reasonable price, vs Philips Hue where you can get 4 bulbs for 4x the price of these. And yes, Hue bulbs have a lot more features and support a lot more things, but budget friendly is always a great option, especially when you don't need all those extra features the Hue lights have. The install was insanely easy! Since these support matter, on iPhone it's literally just "scan code on bulb, click add light, then name it" and you're done. I installed 4 of these bulbs in less than 5 minutes, it's so nice to do this vs adding them one by one in the hue app. (which still isn't that bad, but just scanning a code, adding it, naming it and being done is very nice.) Lastly, I love the color variants this can do, the blues are so deep blue and the different colors this support just look awesome. Cons: There are definitely some features missing, like it doesn't support HomeKit adaptive lighting (where the light changes from more yellow in the morning to more white during the day then more blue at night) which is a bummer because I love adaptive lighting ever since I got used to it, but also for the price this is definitely a feature I can live without. One thing I did have an issue with is I tried installing these in a ceiling fan and immediately noticed a buzzing noise coming from the fan/bulb (couldn't tell which) but I installed them in a different light and they were totally fine there with no noises, so I think it was the fan and not the bulb, but I just wanted to mention that. Overall I seriously couldn't be happier with these bulbs! I give these a 10/10, absolutely recommend. For the price, with matter support, color changing options, these are just an absolute winner. My personal recommendation for these is to get these and put them in places you might not need color lights, but then you'll have the option if you want it, and then purchase another more expensive brand with more features for the rooms where you want fancy lighting and features, that way you get the best of both worlds/types of lights, but can significantly reduce some of your costs.
