Description

Applications The anchor is made from Carbon Steel, and is Galvanized Carbon- Steel. This anchor is designed for use in Concrete only, and should never be used in block or brick base material. Environment The anchor is designed for use in a Damp environment. Hole Diameter/Bit Diameter The anchor requires a 1/2" hole to be drilled in the base material (Concrete only). The hole should be drilled with carbide tipped bit that meets ANSI standards and used in a hammer drill. Diameter of Anchor The diameter of the anchor is 1/2". Length Anchor The length of the anchor is 10" Thread Length The length of the threads on the anchor is 4" in length. Minimum Embedment The minimum anchor embedment into the concrete is 2-1/4". Therefore, the anchor must be installed so that a minimum of 2-1/4" of the anchor is embedded into the concrete. Maximum Fixture Thickness The maximum fixture thickness or the maximum thickness of the material being fastened for a anchor is 7-1/4". This will ensure that the minimum embedment of 2-1/4" will be met. Fixture Hole Diameter The hole in the fixture or material being fastened must be larger than the designated diameter of the anchor. The 1/2" diameter anchor requires the hole in the fixture to be 5/8". Torque Value To be set properly in the concrete, the anchor must be torqued to between 50 - 60 ft./lbs. Spacing between Anchors Each anchor must be spaced a minimum distance of 5" from each other when measured center to center. Edge Distance It is very important not to install the anchor any closer than 2-1/2" from an unsupported edge of the concrete.

The galvanized bolt holds tight into concrete. One thing I really like with their bolts is the nut turns on easy. I used other brands where the galvanizing is so rough the the bolt turn because the threads are packed.

  • Solid Anchors.
Size: 5/8" x 6" Number of Items: 20
Used them to anchor the posts for Iron Gate in Concrete. Tip, don't use impact wrench on any anchors. use wratchet wrench instead. Impact wrenches can easily over tighten the anchors. Its not just an advice for these anchors, but any and all anchors. These were solid, good threads. I didn't have to use epoxy or anything. just drill the appropriate hole and drop these in. It works better if you put the washer +Nut and then push it through the hole/base plate of whatever you are anchoring. then just hammer them on the nut. ... show more
