  • Easy to install and very bright
Color: Red/White
Takeaway: Easy to install, nice control module, sturdily made with heavier gauge wires, heavy duty magnets keep the unit in position and bright enough to hurt my eyes a bit at 20 feet during the day. Details: With any purchase, the tale of the tape is... "does it do what it's intended to do"? I'm a volunteer ambulance driver in the central Colorado mountains. I did quite a bit of research before deciding on the 23" Condor TIR Emergency 3 watt red/white mini LED light bar. After all... the money was coming out of my pocket and $180 isn't quite petty cash. While I can imagine that any decent light bar would be sufficient during the night, I was worried about racing to the fire station to grab the ambulance during the daytime. The very next day, after installing this unit, I received a call at 11:15 am on a nice sunny day. From the moment I hit the hwy until arriving at the station, averaging 75 mph, every car saw the lights in sufficient time to pull of the road and make way for me... and I wasn't using a siren. Enough said! The light unit itself seems to be very sturdily built and the wires are of heavy enough gauge such that I'm not worrying about breakage but not so heavy that I cannot run them along the door frame gasket to conceal them. My ONLY complaint is where the wire harness plug connects to the control module. The protecting sleeve over the wire harness stops about 3 inches short of the plug leaving the unit as a whole seem to be a bit unfinished. Additionally, the two wires (red/black) coming from the cigarette lighter adapter accidentally, but easily, pulled out of the control module plug necessitating me to have to take 20 minutes to figure out how to get the pins out of the plug so I can re-crimp the wires back on to them and then reinsert them back into the plug. Fortunately, the seller was very responsive in answering my question as to which wire went where in the plug. I am very pleased with this purchase 10/03/19 Update.... I've owned the unit for about a year now and it's still performing very nicely. The one issue which came up and which I'm really disappointed in was the quality of the rubber covers which go over the magnetic feet. After only about 6 months of use I had to take the light off the car to store it while parking in the airports extended parking for a week. Upon removing the light, the rubber feet covers literally disintegrated. They obviously were not made to handle extended outdoor use and UV conditions. Insult to injury was the $25 quote for a set of 4 replacements.... for simple rubber magnet covers... and ones that really don't last that long to boot.... NOT ... show more

  • Great light bar
Color: Amber
I got this light bar last week because I needed it for a public service event I was doing. I can't say enough about how great it worked. It was packed well and worked right out of the box. There were no instructions, but the seller will provide documents if you need them. The cigarette lighter cable plugs into the switch box and the switches are self-explanatory. Mine didn't have the second color function, but the other switches are power, flash pattern, left alley and right alley (or something like that). They all worked great. There are a number of flash patterns and I just cycled through them until I found one I liked. I think officially the magnets are rated at 50 MPH, while others have stated that they have used it at much higher speeds. The first thing that I loved with the magnets was the rubber(?) cover on them to prevent the car from getting scratched. I was replacing an older halogen light bar and it had a tendency to scratch the roof. This one didn't at all. The second was the strength of the magnet itself. As soon as I got close to the roof of my car, the magnets clamped down and didn't want to give way. I'm sure it would handle speeds greater than 50 MPH, but don't hold me to that. While on the event, I had the opportunity to stand back and see the impact of the lights. They are very bright, even on a sunny day, and are very visible from a distance. Several people commented on visible it made my vehicle. The alley lights (white) were an extra bonus that I didn't expect. I like those a lot, but I'm not sure if I'll ever practically use them for what I do. Still, nice feature. My only issue, and it has nothing to do with the bar really, is in how my vehicle was wired up. It wasn't exactly compatible with this particular light, but that isn't the light's fault. I have a switch box that provides power to a cigarette lighter plug that I used to use for my old light bar. I could use the switch box to turn the light on/off. With this new bar, it has electronic switching instead of mechanical. That means that even when I turn on power to the light, I still have to turn on the switch that came with the light. I'll need to find a way to rewire something to make it serve my particular purpose. But as I said, the light is still great and worth 5 stars! One note: The cable running to the light is a bit thicker than on the old halogen lights because of the extra wires needed. I didn't rain on me this weekend, but I wondered if the wider cable might cause it to leak where the door closes around it. I have not tested that yet. It was just something I took note of. ... show more

  • Good light for the money
Color: Amber/White
So far looks durable and well sealed. Wish it had a little bit longer length of cord as it was just enough to get it to my 12v outlet and even if I hardwired it I would have to lengthen the remote lead also. I ran it down the back of the cab and in through the cab corner. Overall it is a very bright light for the size and will hurt your eyes. Magnets seem strong. Plenty of flash patterns. The side alley lights are a nice touch but definitely not bright enough to use as a work light. ... show more

  • Reseal the light housings.
Color: Red/White
Overall I am happy with the function of the product, but it did take some adjustments on my end. Look over your light carefully, I had to reseal the housing of the leds because moisture was getting inside and causing them to condense. They tried to tell me that moisture is normal, but once sitting in rice for a few days the moisture was gone. I resealed them and I haven't had the problem since. They did send me silicone, so I will give them credit for that. One side of the light was fine, but you could see the gaps where there wasn't enough silicone in the track, or just missed it all together. The only other issue were the rubber boots on the magnets, they have rotted since I bought last year, but I didn't expect them to last very long in the four season weather where I live. ... show more
