I LOVE this little gadget. The first one that I bought had a faulty charging port that was lose and wouldn't take or hold a charge properly. It was very easy and quick to have it replaced for free by Amazon, and the second one that was delivered works perfectly. Pros: - Hot surfaces aren't exposed. I have small children in the house, so this is a major plus for me. - Curling is much simpler and faster than with a traditional iron. I thought the basic mechanism of curling hair around a wand was simple and fast, but with this it's literally just pressing a button and your hair twirls up automatically without any fussing whatsoever. I seem to get through all my hair in about 75% of the time or less than a traditional iron. - No wrist fatigue. - Portability. This is really perfect for travel, or even just tucking in your bag if you have to look amazing for an evening event after work. - Cordless - If you're somewhere where you can't use a plug-in iron and don't want to burn yourself or burn the building down, this is REALLY handy. - Handles long hair -- mine is about elbow length and this handles it just fine. - And finally, the result: Beautiful, shiny smooth curls all the way down to the ends. Cons: - I'm not convinced it really holds a charge for 1.5 hours as claimed. I think it's more like 40 minutes (that's when the battery indicater starts to drop rapidly), but that's plenty more than enough time for me to curl my whole head of hair twice. - The lowest temperature is 320 degrees. Sometimes I like a much lower temperature (240ish) just to smooth out my fine hair without risking so much damage, but this isn't the tool for that. - Less versatile curling options -- This is a pretty versatile machine, but if you're looking to really sculpt your hair into a highly styled look, this will get you about 90% of the way there. I like a vintage wave, and can get that quickly and easily, but the front Veronica Lake peekaboo piece in the front isn't quite as easy to achieve with this. If you are one of those people who likes to leave the ends out of their curls, that might be tricky with this too. Overall, I really just love this machine. It was a splurge for me, but I'm really pleased with it and I feel it was worth the money. ... show more

This far exceeded my expectations! I have very fine, thick, long hair that generally, won't hold curl, even with a ton of product. Just to see how it really works, we tried it without any product before or during curling, & only used a light hairspray after. My curls held nicely (although did relax) over 2 days. For my hair, that is incredible!! It works VERY quickly, because normally I have to hold my hair in a curler under it's so hot it can't be touched & it has to be at least hair sprayed while held in the iron. It takes hours for the normL process to curl my hair! Obviously, I didn't take the time to do that much. This took less than an hour! Again, incredible! Finally, if I had any complaints, it would be that I wish it could handle longer hair. We had to start a bit down the length, so it would get all the way to end curled. However, my hair is nearly waist length in the back, so it's really not a big deal. It still managed to do most of the length. Finally, it wasn't fully charged (maybe 3/4) when we started & it used little of the battery while working. It would probably last through 3-4 sessions for my hair on 1 charge. ... show more

Quit charging after three months. Great curler but after a couple months it quit charging fully, and now turns off a second after it is turned on. To keep your hair from catching in curler, make sure to hold down the start button the ENTIRE time. If you let up on the pressure before the curling time is done, and the curler beeps, your hair will be caught in the curler (and VERY difficult to remove). Also, be sure to let go of your hair, so your hair is free, before you push the start button (or it will pull on your hair from the scalp). Wonderful curler. Does much better job than a regular curling iron, but the battery quits working after less than 40 uses. ... show more

Love the cordless idea BUT I’m not sure if it’s my unit but I have to charge it before every single use. My hair takes all but 7 mins to curl so I doubt it will lose all charge after 7 mins. It seems durable and not cheaply made and it’s very easy to use. The curl quality is excellent and my curls last long. ... show more

So I'll address some things I've read. It took about 20 minutes to do my whole head. This is the result from the first use. When I was done I had three bars still left on the battery so the battery was no problem at all. Someone said something about their hair getting tangled. I did my whole head with not a trouble one time. So this thing is great!! No cord makes it even greater! I hate cords! I thought well I might come out looking a little crazy but my first time out it turned out just the way I wanted it to. All I need is a three-way mirror or one of those accordion mirrors so I can actually hold my hair and the curler at the same time to see the back of my head. But that would be true for anything that you're using on the back of your head. I read reviews of other ones and I had another one that was the tulip looking one. I forget what it's called but it's pretty big and cumbersome. Actually. I do have some layers in my hair and I was afraid maybe it wouldn't work because my hair wouldn't be long enough because all the videos have videos of girls with long hair but it was no problem at all. I was hesitant about this at first due to the price and the 4.0-star review. However, I got a good deal, so I decided to try it. I was really happy with the curls it gave. I used the 6s at 360°F, and the curls lasted all day. My 5-star rating is based on my satisfaction with the curls and how portable it is; I used it while we were traveling, placing it on my lap while sectioning my hair. I wasn't worried about getting burned at all. I still can't comment on the battery life since it's new and I've only used it once so far. ... show more
