The chair is comfortable and works well for a gaming setup; however, the assembly was disappointing. The instructions were fine and all the pieces were contained, but the bolts never set in the coupling nuts well - some set only a third of the way and were not cross-threaded or striped. We were able to assemble the chair and it is holding together fine, but if the coupling nuts were aligned better, assembly wouldn't be an issue. ... show more

My husband has a lot of lower back & neck pain and has gone through several office chairs looking for one that is comfortable but doesn't cost hundreds of dollars. He has finally stopped looking. He has been using this chair for months and absolutely loves it. He has not complained about back or neck pain after sitting at his desk, even after sitting for several hours. The chair looks stylish and has a decent adjustable height range. Another issue he had with other chairs was the chair lowering as he sits, but he has never had to readjust the height. He said the chair was not difficult to assemble but took considerable more time than other desk chairs. His only complaint was that one of the screw covers would not stay in place even after gluing. This chair was very easy to put together, the instructions were actually good, and even the little package with the bolts and other parts in it was made in a way that it was easy to get all the pieces out. I am 5'11" and about 275lbs right now, and the chair fits me well, though it is on the smaller size, so someone bigger than me might find it too narrow. Also, with the chair at its lowest setting, my feet lay flat against the ground with my seat cushion on it, so it's perfect in that way. Usually, with these types of chairs, the weight rating is based on the quality of the gas piston--they are rated for certain weights, so for me, being able to keep the chair at the lowest setting means I don't even have to use the gas piston to raise it, and I won't blow out the piston in a few months like I would with other chairs I've used in the past. If you weigh less than 250lbs I'd guess you could use the piston and raise the chair to any height you want. The material is nice, much nicer than other chairs I've seen at less than $100, and the arms have some nice thick padding on them. Also, you can lean back in the chair, or lock it into place. The chair was VERY easy to put together, with great instructions, which was a big surprise--I think part of the low price is that you have to put together the base of the chair, which means putting on the legs and screwing 2 bolts into each one. Every chair I've ever bought in the past already had the base put together. With that said, it was very easy to put it together, and the end product is very sturdy. ... show more
