I've bought particle board desks that were more solid than this. The corners are held on with 4 tiny weld tacks (most of which are burned through). 2 of the 14 bolts were damaged, and 1 of the holes for the bolts were damaged. After tapping the holes and chasing the threads on the bolts assembly was easy enough, though the directions don't put to much emphasis on the orientation of the legs so that you can mount the bottom cross bars, but I didn't pay enough attention, so that's a 50/50 I think. Once assembled, this desk is flimsy. There is no lateral stability at all, and I'm pretty sure it's going to be returned soon, but I'm going to give it a try.. I bought this to hold a 3d printer and standard printer, but I'm pretty worried the side to side motion of both will eventually break this desk. Apart from stability, the legs were scuffed and dented, though the box was undamaged. The desk top also had 2 chips missing from it once I flipped it over (I left this on the styrofoam it shipped on for assembly, so this chip happened at some point before packaging). The edges of the laminate are white and stick out like a sore thumb at each seam. The more I type, the more I think I'm being too generous with 3 stars. ... show more

This is exactly what I've been looking for! I've been searching for just a basic looking flat desk like this for a long time with no fancy upgrades and was on the brink of a DIY project that I probably would have messed up. For the life of me I couldn't find one. The setup was easy, only took twenty minutes and usually I struggle with these things. The desk itself is very sturdy and I have fit three 27 inch monitors onto it with speakers and everything else. I'll add a picture for reference if you're worried about length if you're planning on doing a similar setup. ... show more

I love the look of this table. Initially, I thought it would be too large for the small space in my living room that is my office. As it turned out, since both of my cats are in love with the table, sometimes there's barely room for me to work. When the cats are elsewhere, there's plenty of space for my computer, a calendar, a daily message calendar, a pile of notepads, a pile of books, a few decorative items and a desktop Mac. There's also enough space to spread out a few documents too. It took very little time to put the table together and it's withstanding cats jumping on and off with no problems. It's a bit higher than I thought I wanted, but works well with any office chair. I have a footstool for added comfort and there's still plenty of room for a storage cube and a trash basket. For me, the best part is being able to work while facing out into the room instead of feeling cramped and isolated working in a traditional computer armoire. Finally, the color closely matches the rest of the wood/almost-wood furniture in the room and the combination of black metal and wood in the room. ... show more

Purchased this desk to use an a secondary desk for my Apple Computer. This desk is stylish, functional, adjustable in height and a great bargain as far as I'm concern. The assembly is very easy and straightforward. If you cannot assemble this desk you have no reason to be buying furniture you assemble yourself. My only suggestion is to add a flat washer between the screw (M6 x 50) and the frame which attaches to the wooded desktop. I noticed that without a washer the metal frame can deflect a bit, the 10 cent washer solves this issue. You can get a pack of washers for a buck at any big box store or Walmart. Use the washer and you're in business. I'm very happy with this desk, especially the adjustable height. I highly recommend it. ... show more

The price point is fair compared to the other stores I went to. The package wasn't too heavy, the desk was easy to set-up & it's very sturdy! I was able to organize all the cables on the underside of the desk. No complaints!
