It was kind of a pain to assemble, I mean overall it was easy a couple of screws and lugnuts, but the problem is the way it is set up you have to use 2 different size wrenches (? not sure if that's what they are called, but they are included). You use one to hold the screw in place and the second to tighten the nut. With my old arthritic hands it was a difficult task, I am sure some young buck could put it together with no problem. They also included 2 extra screws and nuts just in case which is always great. It is extremely sturdy, my 8 year old grandson was jumping and hopping on it and it held up just fine. The posts are large so it puts pretty good size holes in the lawn which were just what we needed prior to fertilizing, we are lucky we have a small area though as this could take much longer for a larger area. ... show more

The aerator was easy to put together. Instructions are included but not too necessary, just put the screws in the holes and nut it up. It has a sturdy feel and makes loosening compacted dirt/gravel a breeze. The handle is an easy, comfortable grip. The bonus pair of gardening gloves is a nice touch. I thought I would try this Aerator Tool for our yard. It comes in three parts that need to be assembled before use with included bolts and nuts. The aerator has four prongs that are pushed into the ground by stepping onto a flat pad. I found that the bolts and nuts would hit my leg when stepping onto the tool so I had to turn them so the nuts would face away from me to avoid scratching my leg. I can probably say this aerator is good for small lawns but if you need to aerate large lawns it probably would be wise to just rent or pay someone to use a power aerator. ... show more
