My small dog (20 pounds) hates crates. We tried different options - standard wire bars, designer wood, a playpen with a mesh lid - and she either escaped, hurt herself trying, or howled for so long and loud that the neighbors called us. We intentionally purchased this travel crate a size too large (36 inch) so it would be more like a tiny doggy hotel room than a crate. There is room for a big fluffy dog bed, her food and water bowls, and 4 inches of floor space. She doesn't love being in there but so far she has not destroyed the crate, escaped, or hurt herself and she cries less when left alone. Overall, I would recommend it. It is easy to assemble. It's a little harder to disassemble and fold up but still doable for one person. It's much better for travel than a standard crate but it's still heavy and large, which makes it a traveling crate for car trips, not airplane travel. ... show more

I have a lab who is 100 pounds at 1 year old. I love this I put in my car for when I am going to go on a walk so hair doesn't get all over the place. I needed a collapsible kennel for my Wheaten Terrier (36 lbs) that will fit in the back of my car and can be easily removed when necessary. I bought the medium size and it is very roomy for our dog to lie down and move around. Love it!

This crate is easy to use ,store &carry . If I was using it as a primary I would go up a size . I have a 30 lb Border collie . She fits well in it but would like more space if she used it daily !
