  • We’re literally making memories
This is hands down one of my favorite camp cooking tools. Sure the elastic melted the second jaw but it didn’t prevent it from working for $35 you cannot beat it. I will say, my buddy ordered one and it came with a case, which I highly recommend. I ended up getting a symbol carrying case and even ordered a second 21” grilling grate. This is a lightweight piece of camp equipment. I would hands down rely on this as my sole means to prepare food any day, even when damaged. ... show more

  • Wonderful product
I replaced a tripod camp cook setup I purchased 20 years ago (same basic product from Coleman). If this one holds up like that one did I will be very happy. It seems to be well constructed so I look forward to may years of grilling over an open fire with it.

  • Its lightweight and priced right.
People are complaining about the elastic breaking due to heat. If you cook over a big fire than sure you could get the legs hot and melt the cords. But I cook over coals produced from standard store bought firewood so the heat is pretty localized and "small". Set the legs as far out as they can go and you probably won't have a problem with melting. But even if I do. The poles have indents that lock the poles together so its really not an issue... the grill is a bit weak but it looks like it would just bend under a large load and not break. Easy to upgrade... would still be cheaper than a more expensive option.... Basically, this thing is just fine doing most everything you would cook over a fire.... but if your life revolves around cooking stew from a 5gal cast iron pot over a huge fire with a wooden spoon.... it will fail. ... show more

  • Tripod
Lightweight, not very sturdy

  • What a great grill!
Love this thing the only thing that would make it better is having edges on the grill. The adjustable height is easy to use and the results are always good. I had one 35 years ago and lost track of it. Started camping with my grandson this year and bought another. Great purchase!

  • Very handy
Ok so I am just going to make a couple of points that I didn't see covered in other reviews. This is a great grill for fire grilling. It does not need to be precariously balanced on rocks and logs, it does not require level ground, and unlike other grills it is infinatly adjustable. Have you ever had a perfect bed of coals not last long enough to grill your food? Then your grill goes cold or you add wood and your grill is too hot. This grill adjusts up and down to accommodate for the constantly changing heat of a wood fire. Another thing is if your fire is cooking unevenly you can give this grill a gentle spin and it will spin back and forth over the flames giving all your food an even time over the hotter and cooler parts of your fire. Finally I would like to address all the peoples points about how it is difficult to flip your food because the grill swings when you try. Simply adjust your grill up until it is touching all three legs. The legs will steady your grill while you flip your food. Then adjust it back down to whatever height you were cooking at. And that is it. Lots of bang for a few bucks ... show more
