  • Great design making ND filter use with ease
Style: Filter holder Z Pro series Pattern: Single
I got this filter holder along with a few z series ND filters. I had CPL filters that are screw on the lens type. I was worried that this would be a bunky and clumsy system to work with before I got the holder. However, this system has proven to be an excellent design for using ND filters. The holder is very light. It feels like it is made of nice quality plastic. There are 4 gold color screws to hold on to 2 stacks of slots on both sides of the holder. You can take the slots apart and re-assemble the slots any way you want to. On one side you can fit the adapter ring (buy separately from the holder) for the specific size of lens diameter, and the other side you can fit your filter. It is completely reversible in terms of which side you put your filter or adapter ring. There are 3 push pins on the holder apparently used to holde the adapter ring in place. You can remove the pins from the holder completely. The pins are designed that they can only be pushed in half way from one side of the holder. However, the pins can be push out completely from the opposite side. This is important if you want to put the filter tightly close to one side of the holder to reduce vignetting caused by the extra distance between the filter and the lens on the other side. The pins have to be on the side which they can be completely pushed out to allow the filter to slide smoothly for adjustment. I may be confusing you but you will know what I am talking about when you use it. Just remember that the pins can be removed from the holder. Like the last user, I found no problem with vignetting with my 18-200mm lens on the wide end, and I think it can do better than that. I did spent sometime to figure out how to rearrange the stack of slots to make sure I can get the filter close to the lens. You can go to cokin's website for more info about this holder: [...] Overall, I really like this system! ... show more

  • Good design, easy to use
Style: Filter holder Z Pro series Pattern: Single
This is a lightweight plastic device with a good design and a decent design quality. It's easy to use and does what it's supposed to. Be careful with the adapters ring used to attach this to the lens, some of them have white writing on the front which will reflect off of your filters and show up in your photographs. Google "cokin design flaw" for my example shot on flickr and review on Amazon about this issue. Cokin did say they would fix this in future versions, and i was happy with their responsiveness on the issue. ... show more

  • You Get What You Pay For
Style: Filter holder Z Pro series Pattern: Single
I bought this over the Lee brand holder since the Cokin was Prime eligible and my husband and I were leaving on a trip before the Lee would arrive. My husband has a Lee Filter holder and this Cokin definitely isn't built as solidly. The way it attaches to the ring adapter isn't very secure and the holder popped off my lens, breaking the glass ND filter. Because of the way it attaches to the adapter ring, it doesn't rotate easily either. Other than the build quality and poor attachment design, it worked well holding the filters as designed. It was used on a Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 II USM that uses an 82mm adapter. ... show more

  • Very good product
Style: Filter holder Z Pro series Pattern: Single
Nice product, I would buy again. I use this filter holder with Lee Filters and it works perfectly well and is much cheaper than the Lee Filter Holder. Nice product!

  • Nice, well designed, and does exactly what it's supposed to do
Style: Filter holder Z Pro series Pattern: Single
Nice piece, well built, does the job and is about what I expected - if you need one of these, this one is probably as good as it gets.

  • Perfect - made from heavy-duty and very durable plastic
Style: Filter holder Z Pro series Pattern: Single
Perfect - made from heavy-duty and very durable plastic. If you already the Cokin brand adapted ring(s), this is the only holder that will work correctly with them.

  • Great product for it's price
Style: Filter holder Z Pro series Pattern: Single
Great product for it's price. Don't forget to buy the adapter when buying this product. My only complaint about this product is the screw which could easily fall from the setup. I lost one of the screw the first day I used this product. I went to my local hardware store to get a replacement. It's nice if they put extra screw in the packaging. ... show more
