We compared 4 dental floss brands: CocoFloss, Dr. Tungs, Silk Floss and Reach. We had used Reach for years and were basically happy with it, though it did tend to shred badly at times. However, after reading that almost all commercial brands of floss are made with PFAs (forever plastics), which ultimately end up in your blood stream and vital organs, we decided to switch to a brand that was PFA free, including CocoFloss, Dr. Tungs, and Silk Floss. Right out the gate, Silk Floss by SMARTLIFECO was a complete failure as many reviewers have noted. Unless you have gaps between every tooth in your mouth, Silk Floss will break at the slightest resistance. Useless. Dr. Tung’s Smart Floss is probably the best choice for most normal teeth. The container is flimsy paper, which though an environmental plus, is hard to pull from and falls apart when wet. This floss is similar to Reach but doesn’t shred as easily and has a nice feel, good performance and subtle cardamom flavor. CocoFloss is my personal favorite, though my wife could not use it because it was too thick for her. The floss is a pleasure to use and works for both large and tight gaps. It is robust, never shreds, unspools easily, and they claim the plastic container is re-useable (though I could not find a way to order refills). ... show more

I’ve tried every floss on the planet, and I have to say that Coco floss is pretty good. I wear a night guard and sometimes in the morning parts of my gums are swollen and this doesn’t happen with this coco floss, my gums are normal every morning 😁. It’s smooth and it easily glides through your teeth, especially mine that are very tight together. And because it slides so easily, you don’t have to tie it around your fingers so hard to where it hurts.     • My favorite floss of all time!

I cannot recommend this floss highly enough! I have more spacing between my teeth than the average person and have found regular floss just glides around without picking up much debris. I tested my regular Glide floss against the Coco floss and Coco won by a mile! That being said, my partner has very little spacing between his teeth and didn't enjoy this floss. He found it difficult to move it between his teeth and prefers the regular floss. So if you're like me and have more spacing, this is the floss for you! Onto some other aspects of the floss, the taste is fine. Not strong or unpleasant. I have found that sometimes I receive a spool that struggles to release the floss no matter how hard I pull. Easy fix though, the packaging pops open easily and you can reset the spool. This floss is an 11/10 for me and I cannot recommend enough! ... show more

I like this floss for the not so tight spaces in my teeth. Unfortunately it’s pretty thick and won’t fit into the tighter teeth, and especially where I have fillings it just shreds when pulling it down. No mint flavor whatsoever. I’d recommend for you if your teeth aren’t too tight

This remarkable gloss gently removes tartar that regular floss can’t. It also removes some staining between teeth. After using it for several weeks, I’m glad I tried this product. It’s so effective that I hope it doesn’t harm tooth enamel (I’ll update this review after I go for regular dental checkup next month). I bought this in December as I have ongoing gingivitis (immunocompromised in multiple ways). I work hard to floss and brush and have invested in my tooth care but I can’t seem to get rid of the gingivitis. I just had my 3 month periodontal maintenance visit and while still having issues, the hygienist and dentist said I had no plaque and that they were going to buy the cocofloss because of how good it works.     • Not good in tight spaces

I bought this product ones I discovered the floss I was using had forever chemicals on it and my teeth have already been having issues, I'm not trying to further those issues. I did see this recommended by a dentist so I thought why not. I was not too excited about the price range but I was still willing to try. It is easy to hold. It does not slip from my fingers, it was somewhat tacky so it was sturdy compared to previous flosses without being sticky. It does however not have a flavor. I chose mint and it did not taste like anything which isn't terrible. The main problem is that is is not the best with tight spaces between teeth. Often times it gets stuck and I cant pull upward. I have to slide it left or right but it doesn't remove the food. It makes me question if the food is being removed. I as well have not seen a difference between this floss or the previous floss I was using. I would recommend looking for a cheaper alternative because this is not as high on the list for repurchase. ... show more
