Very good quality dash cam but their app is very slow It takes time to communicate between app and the dash cam. Overall it’s good. It would be great if you guys upgrade this to 4K video quality keeping same functionality and size.

    • VERY GOOD DASH CAM FOR THE PRICE!!!
I was hesitant about purchasing this dash cam due to it's lower price compared to others however I have been pleasantly surprised!! At 1080p this dash cam takes some very nice video clips. It's not quite as clear when driving into the sun, but I have a feeling most dash cams would have that issue. I purchased a 256g micro sd card to go in it even though it came with a 16g card. To be clear, you have to set it for loop recording in 1, 2, or 3 minute intervals. All that means is that is how long the clips will be. It will fill up your card prior to overwriting any clips. We went on a 4 hour drive yesterday and it put roughly 83 3 minute clips on my card. The instructions also state that 1 minute clips would be much easier to transfer to your computer than 3 minute clips, due to size, however all of my 83 clips transferred quickly with no problems. The dash cam stores all forward camera clips in a folder called Normal_Front and all In Cab Camera photos in a folder called Normal_Rear on your micro sd card. So far I am very pleased with it. In the future I might get a more expensive higher definition dash cam but for now, I am very pleased with this one. ... show more

    • Great Camera Quality but misconception of applied features.
I bought this dash cam as it was widely recommended via Tiktok. I am not one to be formally informed about Anti-theft procedures or items and I thought this dash cam would be the best answer. Unfortunately, I was wrong. SC 201 Cobra Dash Cam, holds wonderful picture quality but the additional features that make it very appealing were too good to be true. Horrible bluetooth connection, Gallery/Live View is not connected at all (even when I tried connecting at home with my home wifi), GPS Navigation was constantly delayed and the application was accurate in compared to the Dash Cam's own navigator to inform the driver of directions. Wonderful picture quality but aside from that it's much a camera to have but not a camera to hold to protect your car. ... show more

Finding the right dash camera with all the selection out there today can be daunting so I'll tell you our experience and why we chose the SC 201 from Cobra. I also added some unboxing images bc that's important to me. Shape/Size, video quality, forward facing and in cab facing, and brand recognition were key factors when making our decision. There are all sorts of shapes and sizes out there now. A small sleek profile that doesn't block visibility was step one. Next we wanted HD/clear video quality 1080P bc what's the use if you can't make anything out clearly if and when we ever wanted to share for fun or when we actually needed it. We have young kids and if you do, you know the best things that ever come out of their mouths are in the car.. When else are we all in one place together without electronic distraction and have time for conversation... Lastly, we couldn't pronounce half the brands out there let alone trust the ones we could and have never heard of. My husband has had Cobra CB's in his trucks over the years and has their marine radios on our boat. Never had issues so we started and ultimately ended here because they have been around for ever and no reason why they wont be for a ling time. Also we found they have every applicable type or use case dash cam you could want. Product itself came with everything we needed including the SD card. We are happy with the size (I'll update with the mounting location in our truck later) and the mounting bracket provides flexibility and is small when you don't have the camera mounted. First couple trips around town and really pleased (actually surprised) on the quality of the video. Has already provided mediation in a dispute, which I won, and for the record after reviewing the tape HE was supposed to defrost the fish for dinner that night.. :) ... show more

Good picture clarity, easy to use, and easy to download onto pc. But I very disappointed that, as others have pointed out, interconnectivity with the app is, at any one time, difficult to impossible. If I'm in a wreck and I want to show the police video, it would be very advantageous to be able to simply pull it up on the app. But the app stinks. ... show more
