The written instructions are bad. This clock has a built in WiFi SSID network. Use your phone, connect to that, then you can set the clock to connect to your home WiFi network. Then it can connect over the Internet and get the current time. Connecting via phone to the clock is really just for setting it up. By default the setup web page is in Chinese, click the tiny button in the upper right corner that says English. Then you can change the color patterns, rainbow, flow, or set each digit individually to its own color, and adjust the overall brightness. ... show more

It's a beautiful clock, hands down, but one thing that I will suggest is that since the clock can be connected to WiFi and adjust setting, I really wish it can set alarm using the WiFi and for different day you can have different alarm time. For example, I only want to have the alarm ringing Monday to Friday at 8 am. Hopefully this can be a new features in the next software update, and that will make it perfect! ... show more

    • Instructions/setup is a mess

Once you get it set up, it's ok, If you hook it up to your iPhone (which is the only way I ever got it to work, the buttons are a useless mess) the instructions appear to be only in Chinese but there is a 'paging' arrow at the top left that you can hit and it has a page with somewhat better English buttons. It's pretty and when my real Nixie Tube clock died (they don't last long) I wanted to try this. It looks much more durable although not nearly as cool as a real Nixie Tube Clock. This is just poor programming, the clock connects to a device via WiFi and you can sync the time but you have to do this manually. So once a month, after the time has drifted about 3 mins, I have to log on and sync the time again.

While the initial setup was a bit confusing and time consuming, this clock is modern, sleek, and retro all at the same time (pun intended). My wife and I made the colors dark yellow to give this clock that “antique” look and a nice, warm feel to our room.
