I'm another Bonnie Bell bronzing gel customer in search of a replacement. I'm finding the Clinique to be a bit rough in texture, not as smooth as the beloved BB. It's also rather orangey-red when it first goes on. I've also tried Pixi by Petra and like that better -- feels smoother going on, good color and a little goes a long way. I have finally found a bronzer similar enough to the one made and then discontinued by Bonne Belle. It’s a clear dark bronze gel, very saturated in color. I always blend with a moisturizer and then apply to my face. In my palm it always appears much much darker but once it’s on my face it blends well and just gives my face a nice sun kissed glow. Because my complexion is on the light side, I would never apply it directly to my face without blending it with a tinted moisturizer first. ... show more

    • It's Not Bonne Bell, But A Close Second!

Okay, I'm a life-long Bonne Bell Gel Bronzer (Golden Tan) user. They went out of business. :( I want a gel bronzer that won't break me out or make me look orange. This product is somewhat similar. It is A LOT darker, so use very sparingly. The first time I used it, I applied like I would my beloved Bonne Bell, not a good idea. I just use this on bare skin, cheeks/nose/forehead/chin. It was really dark! Given that Bonne Bell is somewhat watery, I wet my fingers and then applied the Clinique, using waaaay less than the first time. Much better. I guess this probably won't work for those who apply foundation, etc., but for those of you who just use it to highlight and add a little color, this product is a keeper. ... show more

This is not the Bonnie Bell face bronzer that I loved and no longer made . this stuff is to dense and thick you need to mix it with cream or water to make it transparent enough ,it's just to time consuming messing with it to get it to look right . I give up looking and spending money trying to find one even close to Bonnie Bell how can it be so difficult for cosmetic companies to duplicate ? and it was cheep i loved Bonnie bell ... show more

I think this is my favorite make up product on the market today! This is not self-tanning lotion. It washes off with soap and water. I have super white pale skin and I prefer not to sun bathe since the sun causes wrinkles, and even worse -- possible skin cancer! I place a small amount of medium light BB cream and a small pea sized drop of Clinique Self Sun Face Bronzing Gel Tint into my palm and mix well. Then I apply it to my face, neck and chest. Looks like I have a tan!!! Not a fake tan, and definitely not that orange look! It dries completely in a minute or two. I've even used it on my arms. Once it's dry it won't rub off on your clothing. If you do get on your clothes, try to clean immediately because this is bronzing gel and it might stain. I've notice that it does come out of clothing with a stain remover. I learned to apply the make up first, and the clothing. A little goes a long, long way! ... show more
