Description

The Antennas Direct ClearStream MAX-V indoor / outdoor HDTV antenna is powerful, versatile, and uses two of our patented loops to receive TV signals 60+ miles from broadcast towers. Our MAX family of antennas offer the strongest performance in the most compact designs. This customizable antenna requires minimal assembly. Install with the unique low-profile steel wall bracket indoors, in an attic, or outdoors, or on an existing mast with the included all-weather adjustable mounting hardware. Multi-directional UHF and Hi-VHF elements engineered in the USA with a wide 65-degree beam angle offer reliable reception from the front and back of the antenna for more TV channels even if towers are spread out. Ideal for suburban and rural areas where heavy foliage or roofing materials between your antenna and the TV towers can interfere with reception. Coaxial cable and mast sold separately. If you had cable or satellite installed before, the coaxial cable needed to distribute signal throughout your home may already be installed – simply connect the ClearStream MAX-V to the existing coaxial cable and you’ve got free local TV in crystal-clear HD straight from the networks. • Better than mohu
Style: MAX-V
I’ve had antennas for about 20 years. All antennas are in the attic. My first digital was a mohu sky 60 mi. It has an amp on it. I also have try the cheap 150+ mi antennas. The mohu is still working fine. The cheap antenna worked for a short and then stopped working well. I’m about 30 mi out from downtown. The new antenna does not have the amp, so some channels were 80-95 strength, but the signal quality per HDHR was 100. The mohu has less quality even though the signal strength was 100 due to the amp. So at this point, I am not adding an amp or LTE filter to the new antenna, since channels are clear. My setup allows for both antennas to be used, so I use the new one for strong signals and the mohu for weak ones. Basically, I am getting about a 15% quality boost on the new antenna compared to the mohu sky. ... show more

  • Non-Powered but Strong 💪 Reception, Excellent Picture Quality. Worth the extra $$
Style: MAX-V
This is non-powered/amplified, 60+ mile range, passive antenna that works like rabbit ears on steroids. Compared to the flat, passive 2018 antenna that was adequate up until about a couple weeks ago when almost every channel started stuttering, the quality of this ClearStream 2Max-V UHF/VHF is like streaming in HD. Channels that were once blurry are suddenly clear and enjoyable to watch. Stuttering/pixelating is non-existent or merely a blip if that. Not only do you get a stronger signal and better picture, you also get more channels, or at least I do!. You definitely get what you pay for so the flat, passive antenna I bought in 2018 (see photos) was about $20 back in the day (It's $12 now) and the ClearStream 2Max is a much better, more substantial aerial indoor/outdoor antennal at $60. To be fair, the flat antennal from 2018 is only rated at 35+ miles while ClearStream 2Max is 60+ miles. Mine is mounted indoors and just leaning against a brick wall behind the tv so figure if mounted outside even better reception than what it already pulls. 👍👍 ... show more

  • Good antenna but limited channels in my area
Style: MAX-V
I installed this at my vacation rental to give my renters some options for local television in addition to the internet channels. I couldn't get any channels using it inside the home so I mounted it above the roof about 2 feet. The rental is 50 plus miles from Gainesville, Orlando or Jacksonville which are the major stations so it didn't pick up alot of channels but enough to give them other television stations during their stay. I would probably would have been better off to spend a little more money to get the one that picks up farther to get optimal service. I think it does pretty good though. ... show more

  • Awsume Antenna
Style: MAX-V
I've been looking at cutting the cord with my Cable Company for a while now. But before I decided to do that. I wanted to see what over the air channels I could receive in my area. Most of the Broadcast Towers in my area are directly East or West of me and within 30 miles. So I started out with the Antennas Direct Clearstream 1 Max Indoor/Outdoor antenna. Since it has a 40 mile reception range. I mounted the antenna indoors in a window on the East Side of the house. I got good reception with a pretty decent number of channels. But... depending on atmospheric conditions. I found some Channels broadcast from the North-northeast and just outside the 30 mile range. Would start to break up, or drop out completely. Even with the antenna pointed (as best I could) in that direction. So, I decided to try upgrading to the ClearStream MAX-V. Since it has a 60 Mile reception range and a sightly wider Beam Angle. I mounted it Indoors in the exact same location as the Clearstream 1 Max. Low and behold, the signal strength of all channels I'm able to receive Increased. Including those broadcast from the North-northeast more than 30 miles away. That's regardless of atmospheric conditions. Even during a thunderstorm that rolled through the other night. I was still able to watch programs broadcast on those channels from the North-northeast. With no interference or break up at all. So, at least in my area. The ClearStream MAX-V antenna was definitely worth the additional expense. Since I can now save money. By finally cutting the Cord with my Cable Company. ... show more

  • Excellent reception
Style: MAX-V
This antenna is easy to assemble. It brings in all the TV broadcast stations in my area that I watch. I am using it indoors, replacing an old rabbit ears type antenna I had sitting on my desk - I wanted to reclaim the desk space. I had intended to hang this antenna on the wall. It weighs little and could hang with a small picture hook. However, I first placed it on the floor in a corner of the TV room and it works fine there, so that is even better than as a wall hanging. It brings in the low VHF stations in my area (without huge rabbit ears), as well as the high VHF and UHF stations. It does not come with an antenna cable. You must supply one. One minor complaint - the shipper taped the original box shut with tape that was impossible to remove without doing damage to the box. That was unnecessary because it also shipped in a plastic shrink wrap that protected the package. ... show more

  • Excellent antenna for the price
Style: MAX-V
This product was used in San Jose to pickup local channels up to 48 miles away and it performed great. I wanted something that looked small, easy on the eyes, easy to hide with excellent performance and this antenna met my needs. From south San Jose, I was able to get 151 channels with 24 being duplicate. Even KRON4 and KGO that are in Downtown SF 48 miles away. I placed it outside at the same level as my window facing my neighbors 2 story home but this antenna picked up all the channels with clarity. I had also purchased a Wingard LNA 200 AMP but it actually made things worse. Prior to this purchase, I had Antop 800sbs with amplifier which was ugly. Bulky and total waste of money. This antenna really surprised me with its power. ... show more

  • Mediorce for best antenna out there
Style: 4MAX Complete
We are just outside orlando. This antenna works decent early in the morning. As the day progresses it drops or channels become fuzzy. This is rated as one of the best antenna's out there. However I'm not all that happy for the price.
