    • ***Updated*** It's not incredibly easy to setup the Wifi, but as of right now it's working great!
I wish the setup and connection to WiFi was more streamlined and easier. I found some great YouTube video's that help with the setup, but the video's move too quickly and you have to continually start and stop the video. In my experience, I had to do a couple things to get this to work. First of all, it is imperative that you connect this device only to the WiFi 2.4 GHz signal, because it will not work otherwise. My current router did not have the 2 separate signals, so I had to log into the router, and activate the individual 2.4 GHz signal. After that, I had to do a master reset of the Cigar Oasis system to clear everything. I then started from scratch and connected specifically to the 2.4 GHz signal, and it has worked flawlessly ever since. They have also updated the app, which has some good improvements. Right now, I am loving this thing. I am often away for up to 6 months at a time, and to be able to get notified if my device needs more water, is worth the extra price they charge for this thing. I also noticed that the fan in this device, is quieter than ever. Very happy with this thing, although when I first got it, and had lots of trouble connecting, caused quite a bit of unnecessary stress. The only thing that I do not know about, is how the device reacts to power loss, or occasional loss of WiFi signal. I likely will just reconnect, but this wasn't something I had time to experience first hand, so I'm not sure at this point. ... show more

    • Cheap looking but works perfectly.
Automatic humidification. Easy to install and use. A little cheaply made with the low quality of plastic used but that doesn't affect how it works with virtually no maintenance to your humidor. Better than any other humidification for this price. I do think for what it is it could be a lot cheaper in price since it is such a cheaply made item which can easily be seen in the picture or in person. But, that being said it works great and I got what I was paying for, which was an automatic humidification system. ... show more

    • Simple installation, works well.
I have a humidor/refrigerator that fits under a counter. I tried various ideas from gel, to water trays, to Boveda packs, and nothing had the ooomph to keep the humidity where I wanted it. So I ordered the Cigar Oasis. I slid the humidor out from under the counter and plugged the Cigar Oasis into the wall behind it, and then slid the unit back into place with the ribbon cable passing through the door hinge. The installation is totally unobtrusive, no visible wires. And the Cigar Oasis does just what it says it does: it blows out humid air, circulates air within the humidor, and has no trouble keeping 3 square feet of space at 70%. Given the simplicity of use and the fact that it just plain works, I should have bought it long ago. I don't use the subscription-based app... cigars are pretty low-tech entertainment anyway, so I don't feel I'm missing out on anything by not hooking it up to a network. ... show more

I purchased a product and it stopped working within about 60 days. I was so upset I just smashed it and threw it in the trash. If you smoke cigars you understand the frustration. Well I chalked it up to a loss. I was speaking with another Afficanado that advised me to just reach out to the company and see what happens. I sent a semi-disgruntled email and Mary responded and even though I had thrown the equipment away if I sent the proof of purchase she would stand by the product and sent me a shipping label. I dug it out of the trash and sent it in. Two days later she calls me and tells me she has my product and sent over options. You could definately tell she had "Northern spunk" but the experience was more than I ever expected. As long as I'm getting customer service at this level Cigar Oasis will always humidify my cigars. Thus is an update.... Right now I am storing my cigars at 62%. The oasis is working properly. The temperature reading is exactly 7° higher than the true temperature. It took me calibrating and using 5 hygrometers to be sure of this. Outside of this the unit works as it should. I should probably have 2 of these in the space (4.5 cf). I wound up installing a 6 inch fan in the cooler because the air just wasn't circulating enough. 4 of 5 stars isn't bad. The product may or may not be for your cigar environment if you need 2 way himidification, but they are very handy to have. ... show more

Using this in a small cabinet humidor approx. 4 cubic ft. w/ 3 shelves. I have individual cigars and full boxes inside. The amount airspace in this humidor made it difficult to maintain steady humidity. I tried foam humidifiers, gels, beads, and large quantities boveda. After 36 hours of runtime now its maintained a constant 70% throughout the humidor. I am using 3 Caliber IV hygrometers one on each shelf and the humidity is being distributed evenly throughout. I also purchased the WiFi module and w/ the iPhone app it seems to be working in sync with the rest of the system. Hopefully the Cigar Oasis Plus I purchased will yield the same results I am currently experiencing long term. ... show more
