I bought a large cajon for my studio, but sometimes we like to take it out to acoustic gatherings. I was really afraid it was going to get banged up, marring the beautiful finish. This cover caught my eye as a very good value, and it is! It fits my cajon perfectly, and I love that it has shoulder straps in addition to the carrying handle. There's a fairly large pocket in front to stow sticks, gloves, music, etc...to be sure, it's not a hard case, so it won't be protected against hard knocks, but it sure makes it easier to carry, and guards against scrapes and general bumps and jostling. It may be designed for a musical instrument, but it works great for typical modern board game boxes. I purchased the ChromaCast CC-CBAG-S, in the Standard size. (The Large size probably works, but is a bit deeper, so typical board game boxes might slide around.) As a board game bag it's nearly ideal. It holds a pile of games. The front zips open, making it easy to display what games you've brought and to slide a single game out or back in. It's got a top; while probably not waterproof, it should protect your games from a bit of rain during the dash from car to house. It's lightly padded, helping protect the game boxes from minor dents. It has a large, comfortable, rubber-like handle at top. While it's heavy when full, it wasn't too bad. It has shoulder straps so you can wear it like a backpack. There it stumbles a bit: the traps are a bit thin, and slinging it on and off my back is awkward. But it's nice to have the option. The construction seems solid, like a mid-range backpack. The zippers are unbranded, but don't seem flimsy. The sliding parts of the backpack straps are metal. The straps are sown on, and they're not reinforced, but seem okay. It's not amazing, but I'm comfortable trusting my games to it. At least At least one Kickstarter that tempted me offered a similar bag. For $129. The ChromaCast bag is just $22. The Game Canopy is nicer, but I'm not sure it's $107 nicer. Oh, and you can get the ChromaCast bag tomorrow; the Game Canopy isn't due out until April, 2017. The bag is new, so maybe my opinion will change after a few months of use. But for now, I'm quite pleased with it. ... show more

So I bought this for my husband who is a HUGE gamer (board games) I have seen a couple guys at his game store carrying around drum bags and I couldn't figure it out!Then I asked, how brilliant! It took me a while to find exactly what I was looking for and when I did I couldn't have been happier. I want to say we can fit between 6-10 board games in this bag (depending on which ones we pack as some boxes are much bigger than others) It is sturdy and seals up so we don't worry about carrying games out to the car if it's raining a bit anymore. The bag has 2 straps in the back which allows the carrier to wear it as a 'backpack' and here is the reason I docked it a star. One of the straps broke, in the defense of this bag it was not designed to carry a bunch of heavy board games but instead a drum so I am still very pleased with this purchase, not to mention I am pretty handy as far as the crafting and adhering and sewing world is concerned so I did fix the strap and I extra secured the other strap as well to prevent anything from snapping in the future. If you are going to buy this bag for games I suggest doing the same as having your games crash to the ground is always a bummer (especially if it is a game with lots of loose organization) If you are buying it for the drum I would say you have found yourself a really excellent bag right here. ... show more

I bought this bag for my husband as a board game bag, and it works great! It's the perfect size for a standard square board game, like Wingspan. Definitely recommend for that reason. Didn't use it for what it was made for, though.

    • Original Sent Was Very Poorly Made. Returned Item. Second One Was Much Better.

First off, this case was the perfect size and shape to store a particular item I have. Unfortunately, this product is probably the shoddiest made item I've ever bought on Amazon. The seams along the top, sides and inside were already coming apart when I removed it from its sealed plastic bag. In fact, one of the seams on the inside was completely missed by the sewing machine and the 1/4" padding on the inside was hopelessly crumpled as if someone just rammed it In through the open seam. The outside seams along the top and sides were also missed by the sewing machine (at least 20%), There is absolutely no pride in workmanship on this item. No quality control either. Will be returning this item. A few days later...returned this item and ordered an exact replacement (same product) from Amazon. The replacement is much better than the original. Therefore, it seems I may have just received a bad unit. For the replacement I will change the star rating to 4. ... show more

The large bag fits the standard square board game box perfectly, and most modern board games seem to fit. Even the rectangular ones fit perfectly on length and leave some space for small extras on the side. I have no idea what a cajon is, but the reviews that led me to buy this for board games were spot on! If you buy something massive like twilight imperium or an old style risk or monopoly, they would probably fit sideways but expect a mess when you open the box. Ive already bought one for a friend for his games, and im going to need a second one for myself if I buy any more games! ... show more
