The media could not be loaded. Only had this light for a few days & it's not too bad, especially for the money. My house is 3 stories, including the garage, so it's a subtle effect but I like it. My only issue so far has been the timer. Last night it didn't come on at all so I had to go unplug it & plug it back in to get it going. Then it didn't shut off after the 6hrs like it was supposed to. If that's the only issue I face, I'll be fine with it. Won't kill me to have to go plug it in every evening. ... show more

The Amazon product description says it has an automatic timer (on for 6 hours off for 18 hours), but the owner manual does not mention a timer, and the laser goes off 6 hours after it is turned on but does not turn on the next day. I put both it and my old laser (which had gotten weak, but the two together are adequate) on a separate timer. There was no remote control - the mode is changed on the unit itself. I chose this, in part, because I just wanted color - no snowflakes or other patterns - to look like lights on a large tree in front of our home. Perhaps I should have looked for a more expensive unit, which may have been brighter, but I just wanted dots like lights on the tree, not a pattern on the house. ... show more

These do not project very well when placed further than 2-3 feet from the house and when it is placed only that far away, it only projects to a small portion of the house. There are better choices than these from other manufacturers. Not worth the cost

The media could not be loaded. Mine is defective. Every night I plug it in and within 3 or 4 hours it turns off and the button won’t work to turn it back on. I have to unplug/plug it back in. The lights are also quite dull and not well visible with the slightest bit of background light. Would not buy again or recommend. (Update 24 hours later) I changed settings and it has not turned off randomly during the night. It has steady stayed on for 24 hours. So it’s possible just that particular effect is defective and not the whole device. I have it set up on my apartment patio and can see the lasers coming in through my window and ceiling. It does seem a bit brighter than originally thought. I still don’t think it’s worth the cost. ... show more
