I ordered this product for my balcony. I thought it was much bigger then what the picture represented. I live on the ground floor and my balcony faces the parking lot. All the street lamps near my balcony reduces the brightness for these laser lights. I returned this item for lack of brightness and because it appears bigger in picture. The lights look beautiful indoors and in the dark. My situation makes it difficult to enjoy the full brightness. I won't say this is not a good product, It's just not good for what I need. I recommend very dark areas for display of this product. This product is very small I recommend that the customer order two or three for better results. ... show more

They advertise that they are for outdoor use, but they do not project well .. the light coming from them is very weak for outdoor use. I like aiming these kinds of lights into trees and I have had others like this that were awesome, but these were barely visible at night and they have odd patterns that there was not a static setting. The Amazon product description says it has an automatic timer (on for 6 hours off for 18 hours), but the owner manual does not mention a timer, and the laser goes off 6 hours after it is turned on but does not turn on the next day. I put both it and my old laser (which had gotten weak, but the two together are adequate) on a separate timer. There was no remote control - the mode is changed on the unit itself. I chose this, in part, because I just wanted color - no snowflakes or other patterns - to look like lights on a large tree in front of our home. Perhaps I should have looked for a more expensive unit, which may have been brighter, but I just wanted dots like lights on the tree, not a pattern on the house. ... show more

Extremely delicate yet sturdy lights! Stiff wire which is a plus rather than a hindrance. Because the wire is stiff they will stay in place rather than flop about. I have them strung on posters of bed and they stay were I put them instead of falling down. There are two sets on my bed and after installing the first set I needed an easier way for the string can become easily tangled while working with them. I got a toilet paper roll and strung the lights around it to make hanging them simpler. Since I got two, each remote controls both lights. Manufacturer must be a bit of a joker because the ON button is red and the OFF button is green: Not a big deal whatsoever, just confusing at first. The photo makes the lights look much brighter than they are. They are a soothing, soft color. I can easily sleep with them on. The lights do everything they boost of doing, strobe, flash, wink and much more. These are a DIY'ers dream! So many uses and so many ways to use! Oh and the color of the wire (at least on my off white bed) is hard to see when the lights are on, a very pale copper / gold color. TAKE MUCH CARE when opening them from box and preparing them to be placed and it will be a breeze. UPDATE: Year later they are still running strong however, a few lights have burned out, but only I know it. ... show more

This projector has sparse lights no matter where you put it. Poor coverage. Modes all seem approximately similar. Not a great value. Worth spending a little more if you want real holiday light coverage.
