  • Easy Golf Cart Lithium Battery Conversion
Style: 48V 100AH + 58.4V 18A
I had a friend recently convert his golf cart to one lithium battery. When my lead acid batteries finally started showing their age I bought this battery to put in my 48V Yamaha Golf Cart. A few things to note: First, this single battery is much larger than a single lead acid battery. It will not drop in and fit perfectly to the space where your old batteries were. You will need to make a special mount for it. For me, I put put a couple of blocks of wood together to make a level surface then used some ratchet straps to hold it in place. It weighs around 70 lbs, but since this replaced four lead acid batteries the each weighed about 70 lbs (probably 250 lbs +), this is much lighter! Second, this battery is essentially plug and play. It's nice not having to run a circuit of interconnected batteries like with the lead acid. Just put the correct wires on the correct terminals and you'll be in business. Third, you will need to get a new charger for this battery. The OEM charger and charging port will not work. I got the CHINS 48V lithium charger. It mounts to the terminals easily (these are the wires on top of the battery in the picture). It has a quick connector and charges extremely quickly (went from 50% out of the box to 100% in about 3 hours). Fourth, this battery has an app that will let you know important information, like charge level, battery temperature, discharge levels, etc. It has been convenient so far and I have no complaints. It is Bluetooth, so you must be in close proximity to connect. Last, while this battery didn't make my cart any faster (that's a motor thing), it did improve it's performance going up hills drastically. Before, my cart could only crawl up steep hills. Now it has nearly the same speed on the hills as it does on flat ground! I would chalk this up to not only being better performance from the battery, but also weight saving from losing the old heavy batteries. Also, after playing 18 holes on a course that is anything but flat (very hilly course in East Texas) this battery used 14% of it's capacity. That is with two guys on the cart, our clubs, and a big ice chest. So theoretically we could play 6+ rounds of golf before recharging. I could barely get two rounds in with the other. Needless to say, I am very impressed so far with this battery. It has greatly improved the performance of my golf cart, it was very easy to install, and I have no regrets. Yes it was a pricey investment, but well worth it. This will last longer and in the end save me more money over time. Hope you find this review helpful! ... show more

  • Great Replacement For Failing Batteries
Style: 36V 100AH + 43.8V 25A
Purchased this battery for a 36v EZGO TXT 2008. After getting a quote for a Lithium conversion I decided to try it DIY. The reviews on this battery were sterling and the price point on flash sale could not be beaten. I had concerns about quality, but after 3 weeks my experience has been exceptional. There are some great helpful reviews, please note, these are not reviews for which the company has pandered. I have not received a single push to review. This review is exclusively because the experience has been so positive. I replaced my 6 batteries with this single battery. It was shipped promptly and received in excellent condition about 50% charged. I took my old batteries to AutoZone and was given a $60 core credit. It would be advisable to get a battery handle to assist with removal. I read in at least one review they were able to drop the battery in without adjustment. This WAS NOT my experience. The battery will fit into the rails, but there are two tabs that will have to be ground out. This is NOT all that difficult with a grinder, and once accomplished the battery slid into the rails. It fits snug and secure and leaves a lot of space in the compartment. I, at first, thought the rachet strap to hold the battery in place was a bit hokey, but settled on it because it was cheap and easy. I honestly don’t think it was necessary, but the extra security seemed a no brainer. I placed a piece of treated 2x10 on the other rail for a shelf, but it is also easy placement for a second battery. The warranty, as others have mentioned is a little sketchy. Hopefully it will not be needed. It is effectively a one year and 4 more of a hope and a prayer. I went with a three year warranty through Amazon to cover my bets. Time will tell on this one. It was still cheaper than Lead Acid replacement and my old, shot, batteries only made it 3.5 years anyway. My 3 week experience following installation has been fantastic. The BMS (battery management system) was a little hassle to get started, but I got great and nearly immediate response via email from the company. The Bluetooth worked immediately on one phone, but required more care with the main phone. It generally stays connected and has consistently worked up to 30 feet. It gives the percentage of charge and allows you to completely shut down discharge and charging through the app. Shutting off discharge during installation is a good idea to prevent arcing and should help when I store it for prolonged periods. There is a very noticeable increase in speed and acceleration. The cart is what it is, but in non-scientific observations, I am now able to get to 22mph when the previous tops was 18, and there is some zip to acceleration. This performance is maintained even when I took the battery down to 35%. The distance that I can travel was at LEAST tripled. I can comfortably get 30 to 40 miles. My experience so far is about 30% battery to get 12 miles on relatively level roads. The battery charges very quickly, 2 or 3 hours versus overnight with the LA batteries. There is no function to warm the battery in cold weather, but we are in Florida. This may be a concern during cold winters, but I don’t know how that actually works and wasn’t a concern for my application. Additional installation notes You will need a lithium charger. There are plenty on the market. I choose not to get the Chin charger and went with one from FORM (American company and I had previous perfect experience with them). I put the charger on board and I now only need to connect an extension cord. I replaced the charging port with a round, all weather from Amazon and bought a plate to cover the hole from etsy ($40 total and easy). There is a small red wire in the charging port that needs to be connected directly to the positive port on the battery if you remove the old port. You will also need a 36v to 12v converter for accessories if you have lights. My originals were wired from the middle battery with a green wire that ran to the fuse box. These boxes are about $20 and can then be connected directly to the power on the fuse box (again a green wire). I don’t understand the power usage of the little converter, and I didn’t want to run it back through the key switch, so as a precaution I put a switch on the hot wire to it so I could completely cut it off when I wanted to. I replaced the old fuse box with a ATM fuse box. It was a simple swap and for $10 it seemed to be an easy upgrade if I want to add more accessories later, but was completely unnecessary. Too many words for an easy conversion. I would highly recommend the battery and found it a fairly easy job for someone who has nearly no experience with golf cart power. ... show more

  • ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great Upgrade for My Ryobi 480e – Almost Plug & Play
Style: 48V 100AH + 58.4V 18A
I used this CHINS 48V 100Ah lithium battery as an upgrade for my Ryobi 480e, and it worked with minimal effort, almost plug-and-play. The performance difference is huge compared to the stock batteries. It’s lighter, charges faster, and delivers consistent power without voltage drop during heavy use. The build quality feels solid, and it came well-packaged. I appreciate that it has a built-in BMS for protection, so I didn’t have to worry about overcharging or over-discharging. ✅ Pros: Works great with the Ryobi 480e with minimal modifications Much lighter and longer-lasting than lead-acid batteries Built-in BMS adds safety and reliability Charges quickly and holds power well ❌ Cons: A bit pricey upfront, but worth it for the longevity Bottom line: If you want to modernize your Ryobi 480e with lithium power, this is an excellent upgrade with very little hassle. ... show more
