Very interesting pen! The refill is one of my favorites; dries faster than just about any other pen I've used, and mostly leaves a pleasant and dark line. It's a tiny bit scratchy / inconsistent if held too far off vertical. But the physical body of the pen is pretty bad. It has a weird loose black cylinder in the body, surrounding the refill. This cylinder rattles the whole time you're using the pen, and if you take it out the pen can feel unbalanced. It's wider than it looks in the image; similar to Muji pens. ... show more

i would consider myself a Real Pen Enjoyer and these are far superior to the sharpie s-gels or pilot g2 07s that casual pen enjoyers will recommend. they are at a much more inexpensive price point and outperform standard favorite pens in every way except perhaps the longevity of the ink. (this is the only area of my life that i feel i have earned the right to act pretentiously about. these pens are worth every penny and i would still buy them if the box was $20 instead of $6-8.) ... show more

A college student said this was her favorite pen ever, and wanted more. I found the Amazon source via the UPC. It is a great, fine-line roller ball. The writing is very close to my Sadetler Mars-matic 700 technical pen .35 filled with India Ink. Same width. Same intense black. It writes with the same light touch, even at 45 degrees to the paper. This would be a good choice for fountain pen writers. I’m going to try to find a clicky body that can take this pen’s filler, but it might not work. The needle point sinks into a white bumper in the cap, so if might dry out or dribble in a click pen. A sneaky but useful feature is that a black tube hides the filler, making it look like a lot of ink. The tip unscrews so you can take out that tube. I did and slipped a strip of paper with my name into the pen. The label pulls off easily so my modification won’t be covered. ... show more
