    • Replaced my Luminess
I bought a Luminess Air in December 2017 and it broke a couple weeks ago after I disassembled it for cleaning and then didn’t work quite right when I put it back together. I hated to buy a new brush from them for 60 some dollars. I was irritated with their shady auto subscription service (they wouldn’t let me opt out of it until the package was on my door step in 2 weeks, probably hoping I would forget and get an extra charge out of me) and didn’t really want to give them any more business. I’ve bought this one from Amazon and it works great! All the components of an airbrush seem pretty standardized. I don’t see what could possible make one airbrush cost 3 times more than it’s identical twin besides paying more for the name brand. I wouldn’t be surprised to find out they were made in the same factory. It’s sounds like these types of air brushes tend to need replacement every year or 2 and I will happily pay 20 dollars a year for nice make up. Edit: i have owned this for a while now but i do have one observation which applies to this air brush and the luminess. You have to clean them out. Even if i spray water through it every time, about every 2 weeks it gets plugged up and you have to take it apart and soak it in warm water. When my luminess plugged i couldnt figure it out. Now that i have played around with it a bit i found the clog was in the very very tip where the needle sticks out. It is the tiniest piece that unscrews and i had to use a pair of tweezers to turn it. Since i found that out i have cleaned my old luminess and have found the parts are interchangable with this airbrush. They both need pretty regular cleanings. ... show more

This was a gift for someone visiting - she needed a new airbrush for her makeup because she lost an small, integral piece while cleaning it so I ordered this replacement and she says it is much better than the original! It's easier to clean and works just as well if not better than the original.

I ordered this because I dropped my airbrush gun tool on the floor and thought I broke it. I have the Belloccio system. Once I received this (super fast within 1-2 days mind you) I realized I could fix the nozzle and got my old one functioning again. I almost thought to return this since I no longer needed it, but thought, what the heck—let me try it out since it’s here. Uh, so glad I did. This feels just as good and heavy in hand as my original, but the new spring trigger is obviously much better and gives me greater control. Easy peasy to spray on makeup, and use a little water to rinse out between uses. Would recommend to anyone! And obviously I’m keeping it. ... show more

I have been using Dinair for about 6 years now. After my first Dinair compressor stopped working I ordered a new set. The airbrush in the new set was useless so I continued to use my first airbrush until it recently kicked the bucket. I ordered this to replace the airbrush and it is excellent! It works perfectly with my Dinair foundation and compressor and applies my foundation beautifully! Love it!!! ... show more

this was described as a air brush w the lever to control air flow. in reality, the lever on top is only there for looks, or sale-ability. because it serves ZERO purpose. as soon as u turn on air pump, you BETTER be READY!! cuz it will spray out in whatever direction it is pointed in, and you have NO control!! its not like you put in ur fluid, then aim, and pull air flow lever. its either blasting out unexpectedly, or the power to air flow is turned OFF. NO CONTROL!! SUPER DISAPPOINTED. ruined my project. is going back immediately!! ... show more

Bought to replace the expensive stylus I got with my luminess machine. I use dinair makeup with it now and recently broke the stylus that came with my original machine. Honestly was expecting this not to work, but the stylus is exactly what I was looking for... no harsh smells... no rough edges. Perfect ... show more

perfect replacement for my luminess nozzle. at a fraction of the cost. To buy the Luminess replacement it costs $99 just for the Luminess nozzle. The original played dead after 1 year of really scarce use less than a month's worth of applications. I used to clean every time as soon as I finish application as instructed to avoid dried out stuck on makeup, still it stopped working all of a sudden. I'm writing this review after a few times of use. I now use the water with alcohol as well as ia DIY makeup remover liquid 1/3 dish detergent, 1/3 olive oil, 1/3 tap water followed by alcohol and water rinse. don't bother with the miniature water bottle look alike brushes they sold by other vendors to clean it with .. unnecessary and can scratch the interior. ... show more

Bought to replace my airbrush makeup gun and it works perfectly! Next time, I think I might get a smaller nozzle, as this one sprays wider than I'd like, but it works amazing! If you're going to use this for makeup, try it on a medium air setting first. Would definitely buy this brand again!
