Description

3-steps to get started: 1. Install two AAA batteries into the battery compartment. Match the plus (+) and minus (-) signs as diagrammed in the compartment. 2. Insert finger into the finger chamber. 3. Press the power button. Stay still and your SpO2 and Pulse Rate readings will be displayed in about 5 seconds. Tips to get accurate and reliable readings: 1. Make sure that finger nail is kept short and free of nail polish. Finger should be inserted into the finger chamber completely to ensure proper placement. 2. Make sure that the finger chamber is clean before use. To clean, gently wipe with slightly dampened soft cloth. 3. When taking readings, keep finger as well as body as still as possible. Any movement will affect the accuracy of the readings as the device will reset with each detected movement. 4. Excessive ambient infrared light, for example in an overly bright lit room, can interfere with the device sensor. Make sure that you are in a moderately lit room when taking readings. 5. Poor blood circulation can affect oximeter readings. If your hands are cold, warm your hands and fingers before taking readings. 6. As the pulse oximeter is measuring SpO2 and Pulse Rate based on blood flow, it is not suitable for use by people with certain medical conditions, such as anemia, hypotension and hypothermia. Please consult with your healthcare provider before use. Manufacturer Contact Information Refer to website

  • Worked perfectly for 3 & 4 year old boys
My boys were in and out of the hospital for 10 days with extremely low O2 levels, so I ordered this the first night we got to go home to track when he needed to use his spacer and to make sure he was getting enough oxygen, same day delivery and numbers were very accurate comparing it to the hospitals machinery, they almost came in exact. 100℅ worth the piece of mind ... show more

  • Kids with asthma/reactive airways? Get this. Proven accuracy.
This device alerted me to my child's low blood oxygen saturation (while dealing with a cold that aggravated her reactive airways) and prompted us to go to the doctor despite no other serious symptoms. At the doctor we had this on my child's left hand and the doctor's pulse oximeter on the right hand. This device and the doctor's device matched within 1% nearly continuously on the SpO2 and within ~5 bpm on pulse (I assume the differences were partly about the time-averaging window and algorithm). It was good that we went in and we actually almost had to go to the ER, but they were able to get the stats back up with an inhaler and steroid dose. I purchased it after a few previous doctor visits where I saw how closely the medical staff monitored SpO2, and decided I should have a way to check that at home too. My child loves using it - simple enough for a 5 year old - and it has survived a few falls. Easy to set up (I didn't read the manual). Not super easy to use - you have to know how to situate your finger in there just right, kinda deep - but that's the same situation with the "professional" devices as well. Thank you to the designers, engineers, marketers, and everybody else who helped bring this to our door. No reason to think this one is any different than the many others out there, but in our case, it was profoundly helpful. ... show more

  • Works!
This is nice to have when you have sick kids, it can be a little difficult to get a read on a small child but I think that has more to do with them moving around than the monitor.

  • Works on a 3-1/2 year old
My 3-1/2 year old, 27lb peanut of a Daughter has had pneumonia and RSV issues and has been hospitalized 2 times because it got too out of hand. On the 3rd occasion we caught it early, and because of the past issues we now have the expertise to give her some home care before it gets to the point of paying for a hospital visit. But since we didn't have an O2 monitor we decided to air on the side of caution and take her in to be seen anyway. They told us to continue doing what we've been doing and if we had this, it could have been avoided all together. After purchasing and returning a 'Box store' monitor that wouldn't fit her little fingers, I purchased this one, and it seems to work great! We tested it on my wife, my daughter and myself, and it seems to be accurate across the board. Some reviews said it wasn't reading accurately, but it's reading 98-100% on all 3 of us. Since I have nothing to compare it to, I figure if it's a little "off" it's not life threatening. The goal here is to make sure she never get's dangerously "low" and stays above 90 when she's sick, and this will definitely solve that problem in the future. I would recommend it to any parent with a child who's sick often. (There was one night we could have REALLY used this at about 2am, while trying to make a confidant decision on if we should be taking her to the emergency room, or if we could get some sleep and take her in the morning....It would have been a HUGE stress reliever, and I'm glad we have one now. It's super un-comforting laying in bed with your sick kid hoping that you're doing the right thing, so any tools to help you make those decisions are very welcomed in our house! This was one of them for sure! ) ... show more
