This is very small you can only shred one small chicken breast at a time not ideal for meal preparation. Cheaply made needs like an air hole as it like suctions together and makes it hard to open. Waste of money overall would absolutely not recommend

The shredder shredded as promised! Only thing I took a star off for is that it’s hard to remove cover after you shred the meat. Like it needs an air hole for releasing. It becomes suction locked. But all in all, does the job!! Edited to add: After using it for a year and calling my son in for help me release the top from the bottom, he drilled a small hole in the top to create an air vent hole. I used this twice and guess it’s mine now but I already bought a different one with a clear top that’s better. It’s such cheap & thin plastic it’s malleable so how can it be BPA free or dishwasher safe on bottom rack? It has 4 tiny spots on bottom for non skid not 6 like it shows. They’re so small they get dirty easily and will move in the counter. I’ll use it if I ever need but definitely suggest a different one that’s not so cheap it’s like a kids toy. ... show more

I received one of these and it was shattered when I opened the package. Once I picked up some of what was left I saw why. It is thin plastic, and can't hold up to much. I tried to use it on well cooked chicken and it just poked holes in the chicken. It did not shred anything. Not happy at all. Cheap and useless. I love how easy this makes it to shred chicken. It took me less than 5 minutes to shred 4 chicken breasts - a job that would have typically taken me 20+ minutes with forks. The only negative is that it's hard to clean because of the sharp points. But hands down a winner for me!
