The set presents nicely, they come with their own storage bag. They have a snug fitting telescope action, so theyre not always sliding. And are long enough to sit back from the fire. My only issue is that the shiny finish burns off and leaves a dark pitted surface. So I’m not sure about how much or what kind of metal we are ingesting! ... show more

Purchased the 20-pack for $24.99 -$3.75 (Lightning Deal) on 12-26-2023. These sticks are good for marshmallows and other light items, like a regular-sized hot dog. The tubes aren't heavy duty, so when fully extended, they will bow. Even with one hot dog that weighs @ 2 ounces, you can see a bend. I would set the "safe" weight limit at 4 or 5 ounces. When extended fully, there's a little bit of a rattle that you can feel. Even partially extended, there's some rattling, albeit less than when at full extension. The wooden handles have a clean, smooth finish. Each comes with a colorful, plastic cap. There are 12 colors that the kids can choose from. The pitchfork is 3.5" long. They have blunt tips to reduce any stabbing risk, but they still can injure eyes, so make certain the kids, especially boys, don't engage in sword play with them. A useful storage pouch is included. As long as you're buying these for light duty, they're a good fit. If you want something to be able cook an 8 ounce kielbasa or bratwurst, look at a different item. ... show more

Took a camping trip and was cooking hotdogs over a fire. Friend extended hers a bit to long and it fell apart. Felt a bit flimsy and was unsure of it could hold meat. Did just fine otherwise.
